6. TUTOR REPORTS
•THESE MUST MUST MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE TUTORING
SESSION.. THE EXCEPTION IS NO SHOW REPORTS.
•TO MARK A STUDENT AS A NO SHOW, DO NOT CLICK “ADD TUTORING REPORT.” YOU
SHOULD BE SELECTING “MARK AS NO SHOW.”
•NO SHOW REPORTS SHOULD BE COMPLETED WITH AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE IN
THE SUMMARY (WHERE DID YOU WAIT, HOW LONG DID YOU WAIT, DID ANYONE
CONTACT THE STUDENT, WAS ANY INFO GIVEN, WHEN DID YOU LEAVE, ETC.) SECTION AS
CLOSE TO WHEN IT HAPPENED AS POSSIBLE (PREFERABLY IN THE HOUR IT OCCURS).
7. WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A REPORT?

REFLECT THE STUDENT’S ATTENDANCE)
• THE YES/NO QUESTIONS
• IN THE SUMMARY, YOU SHOULD BE INCLUDING DETAILS. WHAT DID YOU COVER? HOW IS THE STUDENT
PROGRESSING? DO YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THE STUDENT?
• HERE’S AN EXAMPLE OF A GOOD REPORT….
10. WHY ARE WE MORE STRICT WITH THIS
NOW THAN IN THE PAST?
•THERE HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANT CHANGES WITH NCAA, HR, AND PAYROLL AS TO HOW THEY
WANT TO SEE REPORTS. EVERYTHING MUST MATCH FOR AUDITING PURPOSES.
•HR AND PAYROLL CAN PULL SOMEONE’S TIMESHEETS AT ANY TIME AND HAVE QUESTIONS (WE
HAD THIS SITUATION HAPPEN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEMESTER WITH SOMEONE WHO
WORKED IN MORE THAN ONE LOCATION).
•WHAT YOU PUT INTO GRADESFIRST AND WHAT IS ON YOUR TIMESHEETS HAVE TO MATCH. IF
THERE ARE DISCREPANCIES, YOU COULD BE FIRED (NOT OUR CHOICE… BUT HR’S).
11. WHY ARE WE MORE STRICT WITH THIS
NOW THAN IN THE PAST?
•THE NCAA AND THE CONSULTING GROUP WILL BE BACK TO REVIEW ATHLETICS. WHEN
THEY DO, THEY WILL BE REVIEW OUR TUTORING PROGRAM (ALONG WITH OTHER AREAS
IN ATHLETICS).
•THEY CAN REQUEST REPORTS FOR ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE WE ARE FOLLOWING NOT
ONLY THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS ALONG WITH ANYTHING THAT WE HAVE ASKED OF YOU
IN TRAINING/HANDBOOK/CONTRACT.
•WHEN WE PULL GRADESFIRST REPORTS, IT DOES SHOW A TIMESTAMP OF WHEN
REPORTS WERE SUBMITTED.
12. CONFIDENTIALITY• REMEMBER, YOU HAVE SIGNED A CONFIDENTIALITY AND FERPA AGREEMENT.
• YOU ALSO AGREED IN YOUR CONTRACT TO FOLLOW THESE POLICIES.

• YOU’RE NOT A MIRACLE WORKER. YOU CAN ONLY GET THROUGH WHAT YOU GET THROUGH IN THE TIME ALLOTTED.
• BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR NAME BADGE WHEN YOU ARE IN THE BUILDING (IF YOU HAVEN’T RECEIVED YOURS YET… WE
