have to grow for it!

2. Description of Business Idea
With increased attention on environmental issues and healthy lifestyle changes, home gardening is experiencing a
major resurgence in popularity. Pocket Garden is a digital gardening tool that helps first-time gardeners decide
what to purchase and partners with local nurseries to source supplies allowing gardeners to sustain small
businesses without leaving their home. Pocket Garden's post-purchase app also operates as a personalized tracker,
assisting buyers as they care for their new gardens.

3. Problem
Growing food at home reduces air pollution caused by shipping produce long distances. Moreover, during the
pandemic, as people look for ways to spend time at home and avoid trips to restaurants, gardening is the perfect
solution to eating healthy while staying safe. On the other hand, local nurseries are having a harder time staying
open during the pandemic as people avoid physical locations.

4. Solution
Pocket Garden has three main functions: reducing the time it takes to make a purchase, connecting customers to
local nurseries, and helping customers take care of their plants with a personalized tracker. With a survey,
customers can choose a plant that fits their environment and purchase a starter kit with the tools they need.
Additionally, supplies will be sourced from local nurseries.

5. Market
Our target consumers are first-time gardeners who don't know how to start. Pocket Garden uniquely simplifies the
work of researching how to buy a plant and take care of it. It also serves as a motivator, telling customers how to
start their plants, reminding them to care for them, and tracking progress. What sets Pocket Garden apart is the way
it guides buyers from start to finish.
