Description of Business Idea
Rocket Tutors is a free 1-on-1 online math tutoring non-profit dedicated to supporting high school and
middle school students on their academic journey. Our unique model, funded by generous donors, not
only supports students but also provides tax benefits to companies and individuals contributing to our
cause. We keep a small transaction cost to meet our expenses & keep the non-profit running. We
recruit experienced teachers who go through a vetting process to guarantee high-quality education.
Problem
Most students require extra math support, but many of them do not get it because their families are
not able to support them. This causes them to fall behind and start avoiding math, which drastically
limits their future career choices. There are around 23.2 million high school and middle school
students in the US and over 25% are from low income families and can't get extra help.
Market
Our target customers are high school and middle school students who struggle with math.
