2. Description of Business Idea
Noticing a slight brown residual in Grandma's anemia iron solution bag inspired Forest and me. Aware
it was deemed wasted medicine, though minimal, and accepted residual inside ports by the entire
medical field, the nurse provided Grandma's used bags for our check. In 2-port bags, the residual was
1.0 ml, and in 3-port bags, it amounted to 2.7 ml. The occurrence of wasted medication and dosing
inaccuracies prompted us to explore solutions for minimizing residual and optimizing medication
usage.
3. Problem
Medical single-chambered infusion bags have 2 or 3 ports: the Additive Port and Extended Connector
Tubing for injecting medications into the bag, and the Administration Port for infusing medication to
patients. Ports are designed and positioned at the bottom when hung vertically. After infusion,
inevitable residual remains in the Additive Port and Extended Connector Tubing at the bag's bottom.
4. Market
ALL individuals and animals receive accurate and complete medication dosage during infusion therapy.
