  • 12. 5.) Sir Anthony Absolute  He arrives in suddenly Bath. Jack’s strong willed father.  Jack marry the women Sir Anthony selects. Jack refuses to obey his father’s edict Until he learns that Sir Anthony has chosen Lydia to be his son’s wife.

Sir Lucius O’Trigger  A brash Irishman. He is corresponding Lydia.  He challenges Jack to a deal  He learns Lydia never interested in him.
  • 14. Conclusion  The situation and characters of the play were not entirely new, but Sheridan is rich wit and remarkable sense of theatrical effect gave them freshness. Mrs. Malaprop proved to be one of the most popular caricatures in English drama.
