2.  It is a parasite that enters the blood.
 This parasite is the protozoan called
plasmodium.
 3 to 700 Million people get malaria
each year.
 40% of the world population lives in
malaria zone.
 Malaria zones are
Africa,India,Middle East, Southeast
Asia, Central and South America
and Eastern Europe.

3.  Malaria is one of the oldest recorded disease of
world.
 In 1880 French Army Doctor
Charles Louis Observed parasites
in Patient RBC’S.
• In 1898 Sir Ronald Ross finally proved
that Malaria is transmitted by
Anopheline Mosquito.

4.  Mosquito prefers O+ Blood to bite.
 Have 47 Teeth.
 Most hated Insect world wide.
 During bite it inserts certain enzyme
 Choose victim by odor
 Life span is 2 to 3 weeks.
 Males are more frequently bitten.

5. There are four human types of Malaria
 Plasmodium Falciparum
 Plasmodium Vivax
 Plasmodium Ovale
 Plasmodium Malariae

6.  Karachi: Sindh Malaria control programme recorded
44,731 malaria cases in 2015.
 Majority of cases have been recorded from Khairpur.
 After every Moonsoon Malaria outbreak causes
thousands of people sick in Pakistan.
 Cases are common in rural as compare to urban.

medical perspective.
