 Responsibilities
 Study contract & project specification thoroughly for
developing QCP and ITP for various project to meet
customer’s expectation/requirements comprehensively,
 Review & preparing of the WPQR,WPS and conducting
the Welder Performance Qualification Test as per the
WPS.
 Review the materials Mechanical Test reports and NDT
Test reports.
 Prepare the Welder Identify card.
 Inspection & verification of the welding consumable
(Electrode, wire, flux, etc,) are maintaining storage as per
the welding procedure & specification.
 Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper
production of piping and fittings, verify the proper size
and schedule of pipe, rating of the flange face and
fittings.
 Monitoring of welding process such as SMAW,GTAW,

 Identify the root cause of the welding related problems
and taking the corrective and preventive action.
 Review and preparing of the hydro test pack.
 Preparing punch list before & after hydro test,and
reinstatement documents.
 Verification of closed punch items conduct walk through
for each completed piping system prior to mechanical
acceptance.

 Responsibilities
 Work experience includes managing Quality related matters of
Piping, Welding, PWHT,Hardness test; Hydro test, Pneumatic
test, &NDT related activities.
 Codes and standards used are ASME 31.3, ASME 31.1, ASME
BPV code Sect. I,II, V,VIII, & IX, API1104 & AWS D1.1,
D1.2 various other client’s Specification.
 Verify records of Calibration, Inspection and Test equipment.
 Preparation of WPS and witnessing PQR & WPQ for
accordance to Projects.
 Witness welder’s qualification, issue respective cards and
maintain qualification records.
 Inspection of material and welding consumables as per
Specifications.
 Establishing the WPS for SMAW & GTAW process according
to ASME Sec-IX,AWS D1.1 Standards for Carbon Steel,
Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel and Dissimilar Material. .
 Visual inspection of welding Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel
(P1, P4, P5A) and Stainless Steel (P8).
 Radiographic film interpretation and evaluation in compliance
with relevant codes.
 Monitoring the PWHT temperature and chart.
 Prepare daily Fit up and welding reports.
 Preparation of Hydrostatic Test Packages and Pneumatic Test
reports
 Coordinate with client representative for daily piping line
inspection, prepare punch list prior to test and witness Hydro
test, Pneumatic test.
 Provide proper set of documentation and ensure quality
records, files are properly maintained.
