Dear Sir or Madam:
Currently I am working with TMX Finance, in Pasadena, CA, in the capacity of General Manager/DM Designate. I am
accountable for all of the daily operations, business development, financial profitability, staffing and Team development,
P&L and KPI, Compliance (SAR/AML/CTR) and Federal regulations (OFAC. Patriot Act, CFSA and DOC) in each
location. The greatest challenge and the most rewarding aspect of my position is building a solid team with strong
leadership core and focused on the company’s Core Purpose and Mission within the district.
Prior to working with TMX, I have been District Manager in the Central Valley & Southern California area for PLS
Financial, Allied Cash Advance(Check N Go) and ACE Cash Express, all are National retail financial Chains. I am
confident my background and experience directly applicable to your business needs.
I have been fortunate in my career to have gained knowledge as well as significant experience in several industries and
settings, financial, wholesale, retail, and agricultural, both soft and hard line products and services. I have been fortunate
to be able to work with many amazing and interesting leaders and managers throughout my career. Inspired by many, I
am grateful my journey has provided opportunity to experience the type of leader I aspire to be, and has clearly illustrated
the differences in leadership and management styles.
My responsibilities have included supervision of many locations throughout Southern- California and the Central Valley.
I performed monthly inventory audits, supply management & purchasing, recruit & coach staff, team-build, review P&L
and develop business plans to improve store profitability and cost efficiency; accuracy and attention to every detail is
imperative in all my activities, many of the products we offered are strictly regulated and government lending and
anti-money laundering compliance is mandatory. I specialize in re-vitalizing struggling markets and turning them into
thriving, profitable opportunity. I take great pride in development of TEAM members; many have been promoted within
the organization.
I attribute the firm foundation in the agriculture industry that has instilled dedicated work ethic, integrity, character, a
sense of giving back, and investing in growth of people. As a child growing up on a dairy in Tulare, I realized that
agriculture is more than a financial means of support. It is a lifestyle that requires commitment and dedication; it
commands passion. It is a community and a living breathing being. It becomes a part of who you are, reinforced
through involvement in 4-H and FFA. I have ensured my own child had those same experiences. While I miss my roots,
I truly enjoy my job, respect the company I work with, and have a personal investment in each of my team member, it isn’t
home. I have a deep passion and ongoing connection to the agriculture community in the Tulare/ Visalia area. My
father dedicated his entire life to the agriculture industry, my brother is an independent local hay hauler, my brother in law
is a 4th
generation local farmer. My sister is an advocate of Ag Education in Tulare. I continue to stay close to my roots
through friends, family, and volunteer work, with vendors at World Ag Expo.
I am confident my skills and experiences fit very well with the requirements of the position for which I am expressing my
interest. I hope this letter and my resume persuade a decision toward opening an opportunity for an interview to discuss
the needs of your team as well as my strengths and experience and how the company could benefit with my addition. I
would like to thank you very much for your time and consideration of my resume and look forward to hearing from you
soon.
Sincerely,
Kristi Postma
