Science.shtml
•INTRODUCE:
This site has over 1,150 project ideas in all areas of science.
It is science resources for home and school so we can use an experiment.
3. INTRODUCE COMPUTER SCIENCE PROJECT
•“Font and file size”:
This project tests how the font style of the letters in a file might change the size
of the file.
This project is aimed to beginner, so it is easy of difficulty.
The safety is no issues.
5. EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
1. Choose a story to use for your science project.
2. Start Microsoft Word and open a new file.
3. Paste the story you chose in to your new file.
4. Save the file to your computer. This file is default file.
5. Make a new file using a different font and save the file.
6. Research the font type and file size of each file.
6. There was an old sow with three little pigs, and as she had not enough to
keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune. The first that went off
met a man with a bundle of straw, and said to him, "Please, man, give me
that straw to build me a house." Which the man did, and the little pig built a
house with it.
Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said, "Little pig,
little pig, let me come in."
To which the pig answered, "No, no, by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
The wolf then answered to that, "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your
house in." So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate
up the little pig.
The second little pig met a man with a bundle of furze [sticks], and said,
"Please, man, give me that furze to build a house." Which the man did, and
the pig built his house.
Then along came the wolf, and said, "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."
"No, no, by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
"Then I'll puff, and I'll huff, and I'll blow your house in." So he huffed, and he
puffed, and he puffed, and he huffed, and at last he blew the house down,
and he ate up the little pig.
The third little pig met a man with a load of bricks, and said, "Please, man,
give me those bricks to build a house with." So the man gave him the
bricks, and he built his house with them.
So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said, "Little pig, little
pig, let me come in."
"No, no, by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in."
Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed
and huffed; but he could not get the house down.

11. CONSIDERATION
•The size of different font file is almost same.

MT Extra and Wingdings 3……about 16.2KB based on Arial of 12.9KB
12. IMPRESSIONS
•I research the file size about different font.
I surprised that different fonts are same file size except changing word.
•I will try to research about different size font.
13. THIS PROJECT EFFECTS……
•The project effects about “If you like this project,
you might enjoy computer programmer”.
➢Program an infusion pump's embedded system for safer drug delivery.
➢Program a barcode reader, allowing stores to track inventory.
➢Help studios create cutting-edge and cool video games.
➢Program and test the autopilot for an airplane's flight control system.
14. IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION……
•Go to “The Ask an Expert Forum”.
It is intended to be a place where students can go to find answers to science
questions that they have been unable to find using other resources.
If you have specific questions about your science fair project or science fair, our
team of volunteer scientists can help.
