2. Work History
Cole's Home Solutions, Inc. - (6/21/02 – 4/30/2013) - IT Administrator - Duties Included:
Setting up and maintaining the LANs, Users, security, WiFi, switches, routers, access points,
and VPNs for 4 stores and various remote locations. I setup and ensured all network security
for PCI compliance (credit card transactions), User Rights Assignments, WiFi access, and
remote logins. I configured and monitored all servers (Windows Server 2003 and RedHat
Linux), PC’s, laptops, printers, RF guns, access points, routers, and POS peripherals. I
installed, configured, and upgraded all hardware, software and Operating Systems as needed.
I was often called on for creative solutions whenever there was a computer/data problem that
was outside the scope of normal operations. In my first days with the company, an error by
an outside firm caused the corruption of all the inventory data in one of the stores. I was told
it was going to take over a year to go through and manually fix each item one by one. I came
up with a way of copying the data from one of the other stores to the affected one that
corrected most of the problems…for the remainder I used Excel to parse a vendor’s catalog
for the data I needed and uploaded that using a keyboard macro and a .csv. Instead of over a
year, it took less than two weeks. I enjoyed the variety of learning new things and solving
new challenges. I ended up doing everything from web design, advertising, and promotions
to security, sales review, POS enhancements, and inventory maintenance.

Cullum Enterprises, Inc. - (4/94 - 6/02) - President - A small corporation that I started to
provide local contractors and buyers with highly detailed Construction Documents. We also
specialized in 3D modeling, renderings, and material takeoffs for marketing and cost
management purposes.
