2. INTRODUCTION
 An interview is a conversation where question are asked
and answers are given. In common purpose, the word
“interview” refers to a one-on-one conversation
between an interviewer and an interviewee responds,
usually information may be transferred from
interviewee to interviewer

3. TYPES OF INTERVIEW
 Face-to-Face interview
 Behavioral interview
 Phone interview
 Group interview
 Panel interview
 Exit interview
 Stress interview
 Technical interview

4. DO’S OF AN INTERVIEW
 Do act in friendly but professional manner
 Do listen actively
 Do avoid confrontation
 Do take notes
 Do verify understanding through confirming questions
 Do let the interview talking the most
 Do establish rapport easily and maintain it
 Do conclude positively
 Do establish time frame for the interview

5. DON’TS OF AN INTERVIEW
 Do not assume anything
 Do not form pre- judgements
 Do not interrupt
 Do not assume questions with simple “yes” or “no”
 Do not lie
 Do not say negative about for organisation
 Do not inquire salary, vacations, retirements etc.
 Do not being personal issue or family matters in the
discussion
 Do not discuss about past0

6. BODY POSTURE
 Seat all the way back in your seat
 Don’t go for direct eye contact
 Use hand gestures while speaking
 Show your palms
 remain your feet on the ground
 Work on your walk
 Breath deeply and speak on the exhale
 Nod your head while listening

7. HOW TO DILEVER AN EFFECTIVE
INTERVIEW
 Research the industry and company
 Clarify your “selling points” and the reasons you want the
job
 Prepare for the common interview question
 Practice, practice, practice
 Think positive
 Bring a copy of a resume to every interview
 Speak the right body language
 Don’t give up.
