LOGANTEK is an independent geophysical and geological services and consult-
ing firm providing dedicated professional support to the international mineral ex-
ploration, mining and construction industries since 1999. We currently provide a
range of specialist and integrated geoscience solutions to multiple clients through-
out the Asia-Pacific region. We are based in Lao PDR and Mongolia.

2. Geophysical Surveys
LOGANTEK offers most geophysical surveys as well as new technologies. We
data acquire, QC and consult to the mineral exploration, mining, geotechnical en-
gineering and UXO/environmental communities.
Induced Polarization (IP) / Resistivity
Small battery powered to 30kW generator transmitter systems are available. Wire
arrays include Dipole-dipole, Pole-dipole, Vector IP, Gradient, 3D, VES. IP can
detect Cu/Pb/Zn/Ni sulphides directly and map pyritic alteration associated with
epithermal Au and porphyry Cu/Au/Mo deposits. We have done surveys to 1200m
and detected deposits to that depth.
Electromagnetic (EM)
Electromagnetic (EM) methods are traditionally used in the search for conductive
massive sulphide (Cu/Pb/Zn/Ni) deposits. The latest development is to detect
both EM and IP in the same survey. In Lao PDR, we have demonstrated that EM
can detect Cu/Au Skarns from the ground and simulated that Airborne EM sys-
tems will do the same. Our current R&D is focussing on UAV EM; if you are inter-
ested please discuss with the LOGANTEK Director. CSAMT is also available.
Magnetic and Gravity
Magnetic and Gravity surveys can be on the ground, from a UAV or by helicopter
and fixed-wing aircraft. A wide range of applications use this data.
Seismic
High resolution Reflection, Refraction and MASW is available. We have applied
this to coal and sediment studies as well as geotechnical applications (see right
side-bar).

rameters and assure the correct outcome to meet the Client’s needs.
LOGANTEK has the experience in surveys, and/or the right Partner Contractor,
and can then Manage, Quality Control (QC), Report and Perform advanced 3D
Modelling techniques to transform the survey data into a ground map that is ready
for the Target and Discovery stage.

Drone/UAV Airborne Surveys
In 2013 LOGANTEK acquired an autopilot flown Helium Blimp with aerial photog-
raphy and the latest GEM System Potassium magnetometers/DGPS for terrain
clearance magnetic surveying.
In 2016 LOGANTEK changed to Octocopter-based UAVs with our Australian Part-
ner ULTRAMAG. These are a more cost effective and transportable survey plat-
form. Satellite terrain (DSM) or the UAV’s own LIDAR provides the canopy height
surveys to prepare for the other surveys. Currently we are doing Magnetic surveys
in Lao PDR, but other methods including Airborne EM/IP are proposed. .
