英語では、日本語と違って名詞を後ろから説明することがある。
to不定詞－ homework to finish 終わらせるべき宿題
分詞－ a man dancing endlessly 延々と踊っている男性
昨日生まれたかわいい赤ちゃん
a cute baby who was born yesterday
関係代名詞は、名詞を後ろから説明する方法のひとつ。
要は「名詞を後ろから詳しく説明してあげたい塊」を作ってくれ
る
which, who, that などを関係代名詞と呼んでいます。

I met a woman who spoke French well.
主格(a woman = who)
The people who(whom) I met in Korea were nice.
目的格 (the people = who)
I met a woman whose sister is a cartoonist.
所有格 (a woman ≠ whose sister)
人ならwho,
物・動物はwhich
7. 関係代名詞（主格）
I met a woman who spoke French well.
She was reading a novel which was popular with teenagers.
主格の関係代名詞は「主語のはたらき」
「だれかっていうとVする人」
「どれかっていうとVするやつ」
先行詞（説明したい名詞）が「何をするのか/何なのか」で
説明しようとする

The people who (whom) I met in Korea were nice.
This is the book which he wrote.
目的格の関係代名詞は「目的語のはたらき」
「だれかっていうとSがVする人」
「どれかっていうとSがVするやつ」
先行詞が「何をされるのか」で説明しようとする
9. 関係代名詞（所有格）
I met a woman whose sister is a cartoonist.
I have a dog whose tail is long.
所有格の関係代名詞は
先行詞とwhoseのあとの名詞に
所有関係（持つ/持たれる）がある
先行詞が「何を持っているのか」で説明しようと
する
10. 主格・目的格どうやって見分けるの！！
関係詞の後の要素で見分けよう。
I met a woman who spoke French well.
I met a woman who I loved 2 years ago.
I met a woman whose father is a teacher.
●関係代名詞のあとS+Vがあるなら、目的格
目的格は省略できる。 (I met a woman I loved 2 years ago.)

Tell 人 about 物 の形を守りたい
けど、
前置詞は「名詞の前に置く」品詞なので1だと違和感がある
だから2のほうがより「文法的に正しい」（＝丁寧な会話や文章で
用いられる）とされる

look for 名: 名を探す （群動詞）
群動詞(L2文型, L6受動態)はそれでひとまとまりの動詞と
みなすので、分解できない。

「必要とされていること」 is

「彼女が言ったこと」
That’s what I want to know.
「私が知りたいこと」
what V / what S+V で、「～なこと/S+Vなこと」
という名詞の塊を作ってくれる。

①何であれ、SがVなもの/Vなもの →名詞のかたまりを作る
②何がS+Vでも / 何がVしても →副詞のかたまりを作る（条件
節）
