Medical Secretary and Medical Billing Specialist: Pulmonary, 3/2014 to 10/2014
Perform medical billing for two (2) pulmonologists; includes office visits and procedures, and in-
patient/critical care billing:
• Utilize eRecord to access internal medical records and patient information, and Flowcast and
HBOC for internal billing system
• Relieve medical secretary: front-end check-in and check-out of patients, receive and triage
patient calls, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments for office visits,
bronchoscopies and CT scans.
• Scanning of documents on ONBASE system.
Medical Billing Specialist: Department of Medicine, 2/2006 to 3/2014
As the member of a four-person team, performed medical billing for 50 hospitalists, specialists
and primary care physicians; included office visits and in-patient billing.

As you can see from my resume I have a strong background a Highland Hospital. In addition to
medical billing, medical secretarial, and medical records, I have also worked in central
operations as a supply aide. These positions have familiarized me with the back office
operations of multiple medical and non-medical departments, as well as related patients, labs,
referring physicians, and insurance carriers. In addition to Highland Hospital I worked for what is
now Johnson & Johnson performing quality assurance testing on a new generation of blood
analyzers prior to the product’s release to the market.
My value to a team or department will be my experience in a wide range of operational and
