2. Production Company
These companies are very important in the making of a film.
A production company is responsible for the development and filming
of a specific production or media broadcast.
The company handles;
Budgeting
Scheduling
Scripting
The supply with talent and resources
The organisation of staff
The production itself
Post production
Marketing
3. Production Logo
I chose this logo as it reflected
my company as a Fantasy
Adventure based company. This
reflection is made through the
images and the typography.
Film Titles
In a film it is important to have titles as they show who
was involved in the making of the film and their jobs.
4. Film Distribution
A film distributor is a company or individual responsible for the
marketing of a film. Distribution is the highly competitive business of
launching and sustaining films in the market place.
The distributor may set the:
Release date of a film
The method by which a film is exhibited or made available for viewing.
A distributor may do this directly if they own the theaters or film
distribution network. They may do this through theatrical exhibitors/ other
sub-distributors.
A limited distributor may deal only with particular products, such as DVDs
or Blu-ray, or may act in a particular country or market.
5. A Film Distributor
As the distributor for my film I would chose a
company like Warner Bros this because they have
released films such as Sherlock Holmes &
Harry Potter. These films are both Fantasy Adventure
films and that makes them similar to mine.
Funding
The way in which my film will be funded is by a number of
different ways such as;
Investments from other businesses
National Lottery
Self finance:- Loans or Profits of the company
With my film being distributed by Warner Bros the funding
they are most likely investments or self funding.
6. Other Films in the
Industry
To influence my film opening I looked at films such as;
'The Mummy' (1999)
'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' (2001)
I looked at these films as they fit in with my choice of
genre and use elements and conventions that I wanted to
use in my film opening.
