Profile
The ability to work individually when necessary as well as part of a crew to
ensure that the crew functions as a part of the entire well site team
Well motivated, and able to use own initiative, excellent communication and
practical skills, Computer literately, and English fluency.
2. Professional Employment
August 2013 to March 2015
Direction Driller, on PDM and RSS systems (PowerDrive X6 & X5) in
Schlumberger.
Since joining SLB Direction, several practical skills I gained like review
job requirements, well plan and anticipated problems with D & M FSM or
drilling engineers.
Check intended BHA’s of Competence, and proposed Bent Housing setting.
Correctly positioning of non- magnetic components in BHA, gauging both bit
and stabilizers, besides preparing fishing diagram for BHA’s, inspecting all
tools for wearing and damage.
Witness for BHA picking up, and Ensure that correct torque is applied to each
connection and that rig tongs are placed correctly.
Perform Bent Housing setting for steerable Mud Motor in accordance with
stated requirements and following standard procedures.
Use of programmable calculator with a company approved calculate TVD,
Northing, Easting, vertical section and dogleg severity. Manually plot TVD
Vs Vertical section and Northing Vs Easting on standard well path plot, as
well as frequent projection to target and estimating required directional work
to achieve the plan.
3. Perform hydraulic calculations to help choose bit which will provide the
desired hydraulic performance given the limitations imposed by the other
drilling parameters. And to select jet sizes taking into account pressure drops
for other BHA components, bit hydraulics optimization HSI, Jet velocity and
impact forces, minimum back pressure required for PowerPack motors
bearing lubrication and cooling, standpipe pressure rating compared to rig
capacity and drilling fluid flow rates.
For PowerDrive rotary steerable jobs the ability to calculate which steering
parameters should be sent to the tool (taking into account MTF or GTF
modes) At shallow hole tests, prior to running in hole and while drilling
through manual Down-Linking.
Performed deep wells with PwerDrive mode for vertical wells, as well as,
Absolute Command mode for inclined wells.
Have good experience in Gulf of Suez area and structure as performed jobs
where there were a potentials of Anti-Collision (some wells had exemption to
approve prior to drill due to failure of Surface Rule and/or high Uncertainty of
nearby wells), hole pack off issues (in terms of active Shales, mobile salt
formation and formation stresses), high torque and drag combined with
complex wellbore trajectories with high Tortuosity Factor and limited target
sizing ranges from 25m tolerance to a point in some client requires.
Most of performed directional wells in G.O.S were S-Shape profile with
tangent section inclination from 50˚ to 70˚ inclination (GPC) and some had the
challenging of turning over 130˚ (Petroamir Pet. Co). Other J-Shape wells were
performed using PDM assemblies with low capacity rating rigs (Land Kelly)
and Anti-Collision risk with nearby wells, high formation dropping tendency
up to 3˚/30m and long tangent section 2000m (Magawish Pet. Co.).
Successfully oriented and set Whip-stock and performed Cased Hole Side
Tracks in re-entry wells of S-Shape profile using PowerDrive RSS assemblies
(Petroamir Pet. Co) or using PDM assemblies (GPC).
4. In Western Desert, performed time drilling Open Hole Side Tracking low
and high profile wells with PDM and RSS (PowerV vertical sections) in (Khalda
Pet. Co.).
Performed J-Shape well with deep KOP at 10100ft (8.5” Hole) with PDM
assembly. The well has long open hole tangent section of 4000ft holding
azimuth and inclination of less than 20˚ to TD of 14000ft in one single run
and smooth hole quality, the well has 3 targets of 50m tolerance (Vegas West
Obayed Pet. Co.). It was big challenge due regard to formation, KOP depth &
consequently tool-face control using PDC bit type and Friction Factors along
tangent section.
Performed J-Shape with 20˚ inclination and azimuth hold till target, tangent
section 3000ft (8.5” Hole). Target was hit 3-5 ft off center in one single run
with excellent hole quality in terms of minimum directional work, DLS as
planned, minimized tortuosity less than 1.5˚/100 ft as expected from PDM
assemblies and then normal torque and drag was achieved, (Qarun Pet. Co.).
As general, performed J-Shape & S-Shape wells as Lead DD, Cased and
Open Hole Side-Tracking, deep and shallow well kick off’s with different
clients such as Qarun Pet. Co., Vegas west Obayed Pet Co., Marina Pet. Co.,
Norpetco Pet. Co. and Magawish Pet. Co. with both PPack PDM and
PowerDrive RSS assemblies.
5. January 2011 to August 2013
Participated in few directional jobs as Trainee DD combining with Lead
Hand M/LWD with both RSS (AutoTrak) and PDM assemblies in Baker
Hughes.
Interpret sleeve rotation and near bit inclination information and correlate with
Formation Lithology in order to keep hole as planned overcome formation
change on ATK mechanism.
.
Fully understands advantages behind using RSS systems (ATK) and function
to get best performance and results.
Besides the ability to interpret vibration data and alter drilling parameters
accordingly.
That's plus all the different experience gained while performing MWD and
Drilling Optimization jobs (CoPilot Engineer).
6. Employment History
1997 to 2005
Senior Data engineer for Baker Hughes INTEQ (Mudlogging
Department)
Starting from Junior Mudlogger getting through all different mud logging
grades up to Senior Data Engineer and Formation Pressure Evaluation
Engineer. Gaining all type of experience needed to get familiar with the rig
different operations, and skills.
