Project Title: Directional Drilling at ONGC Cambay Basin Onshore, Mehsana Asset.
Description:
 Observed how a well is given direction and sidetracked usingdown-hole mud motor and time drillingrespectively
and surveyingof the well path via magnetic multi shotsurvey tool.
 Learnt about the basic well planning(derivation of Lprofileand survey calculation usingaverageanglemethod) and
applied itto the well data of 3 wells and the comparison of the resultwas done.
 Analyzed the survey data of 3 wells and learntabout how changes in parameters (Weight on bit, RPM) aremade in
order to achievethe planned well path.
 Spent several days atthe rigand observed various operations as rotary drilling, Pull out opera tion, cementation and
acted as a roughneck and removed 4 stands of drill pipe during the pull out operation.

Project Title: OVERVIEW OF GAS PROCESSING PLANT & ACID GAS TREATMENT
Description: Gas from Onshore terminal is sent by a 26” submarine pipeline. The plant is used to clean up the gas from the
terminal to the plant using an expanded slug catcher. In terms of a balanced gas supply, it is important to clean up
the gas before sending it to the customers. At Uran Plant I observed and understood the basics of process plant,
utilities,environment system, and safety system. And different processes carried outfor crude stabilization, storage,
LPG recovery and processing, co-generation plant ,slug catcher unit, condensate fraction unit, gas sweetening unit,
ethane propane recovery unit and treatment of acid gas using various methods like absorption, adsorption,
permeation, and chemical conversions.
