2. What Are Body
Fluids
• “Body fluids are the fluids such
as blood, lymph, milk, and
saliva which are produced in the
body and then either circulated
within the body or secreted
outside it.
4. INTRA CELLUAR FLUIDS
• The intracellular fluid is the
fluid contained within cells.
The extracellular fluid—the fluid
outside the cells—is divided
into that found within the blood
and that found outside the
blood; the latter fluid is known
as the interstitial fluid.
5. EXTRACELLULAR
FLUIDS
• extracellular fluid, in biology, is
body fluid that is not
contained in cells. It is found
in blood, lymph, and body
cavities lined with serous
(moisture-exuding)
membranes, in the cavities and
channels of the brain and
spinal cord, and muscular and
other body tissues.
6. TYPE OF EXTRACELLULAR FLUID
•The extracellular fluid can be further divided
into the interstitial fluid, plasma, LYMPH,
cerebrospinal fluid, and milk (in mammals).
