A. Reviewing previous
lesson/Presenting the new lesson
“PICTURE GALLERY”
Let the students analyze the given pictures from the gallery and have them raise their ideas about the pictures
they’ve seen.
The teacher should write on the board the ideas raised from the students to be used for further discussion. Then ask
these questions:
What have you noticed with the pictures of nails on the board?
Who among you have these type of nails?
How can you describe the nails from the pictures?
B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson
Group the students into five (5) then the teacher will distribute pictures of important nail diseases and nail disorders
to each group. At the back of each pictures are letters to form the words NAIL DISORDER and NAIL DISEASE.
Let the students form the words in 4 minutes and post it on the board.
C. Presenting examples/instances of
the new lesson
The teacher will play a video presentation about nail diseases and nail disorders, have them take notes of important
insights that may be gained from the video presented.
D. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills#1
“LET’S POST IT”
The teacher will distribute different pictures of nail diseases and nail disorders and then instruct the students in each
group to classify the pictures they have and post it on the board whether it is a nail disease or nail disorder.

The teacher will distribute the metacards with written description of nail diseases and nail disorders. Let them match
each description to the pictures of nail disease/disorder they’ve already posted on the board.
