HOW TO IDENTIFY HAZARDS and RISKS?
• look for those things at your workplace that have potential to
cause harm.
• Conduct a risk assessment at your facility.
- consulting salon employees
-inspecting a working survey
- ensure all that all the information supplied by manu-
facturers and suppliers are updated.
At the end of this Lesson, you are expected to do the following:
• Define hazards and risks.
• Identify hazards and risk
• Evaluate and control hazards and risk.
Occupation Health and Safety is a planned system of working to pre-
vent illness and injury where you work by recognizing and identifying
hazards and risks. Health and safety procedure is the responsibility of all
persons in the beauty service industries. You must identify the hazards
where you are working and evaluate and control how dangerous they
are. Eliminate the hazard or modify the risk that it presents.
