The term research means to make known of an existing thing.
Thus research means to elicit some facts out of known things.
Research is a process in which a series of steps are used to collect
and analyse the information to increase our understanding of
atopic or issue.
It involves three steps –
a. Pose a question.
b. Collect data to answer that question.
c. Present answer of that question.

“Research is systematic inquiry to describe, explain,
predict and control the observed phenomenon. Research
involves inductive and deductive methods”.

observation by the researcher.
Logical – research is based on valid procedures and principles.
Cyclic – research starts with a problem and ends with problem.
Analytical – research utilizes proven analytical procedures in
gathering data whether historical, descriptive, experimental and
case study.

Methodical – research is conducted in a methodical manner
without bias using systematic methods and procedures.
Replicability – research design and procedures are repeated to
enable the researcher to arrive at valid and conclusive results.

Prudence - The researcher is careful to conduct his research
study at the right time and at the right place wisely, efficiently
