Professional Experience
Accenture, Canada
Systems Integration Consultant (Aug 2011 – Present)
Role Description:
Project: Mortgage Product Integration, Canadian Bank. I developed
integration services for the bank’s mortgage application enterprise system.
My work involved functional analysis, extension of the technical design
solution to actual event flow sequencing and hands on development of
mediation modules using mapping and transformation tools, as well as
custom Java code in the IBM Websphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB)
platform. I also supported the test cycles as the main point of contact from
the development team for defect analysis and troubleshooting exercises to
address all issues that led towards the successful production implementation
of the system.
Project: Credit Card Integration, Canadian Bank. I managed the
delivery of the service oriented architecture (SOA) real-time services of the
newly acquired credit card products. My work involved the definition of
integration services as per functional requirements and vendor API utilization,
as well as managing and keeping track of the overall service delivery timeline.
I also led in defining a program wide change management process to make
sure TSYS, a credit card processing vendor, initiated system updates are
communicated accordingly to all the teams and goes through an impact
analysis. The process was presented to leadership for approval and was
successfully adopted into practice saving the company from potential impacts
as a result of these frequent and regular third party system updates.
Project: Mobile Banking Integration, Canadian Bank. I designed and
developed web services for the bank’s mobile payment and loyalty program
integration solution. I defined interface agreements for complex web services
including message structure definition, data mapping and sequence diagrams
that strictly adhere to functional and business requirements. After the design
completion, I moved on to the next phase where I had opportunity to
participate in hands-on development of complex and critical ESB modules
using IBM's Websphere Message Broker, as well as the creation of test case
scripts to make sure all the services work functionally together as expected.
1
2. The project was successfully completed and went live in production as
planned and scheduled.
Project: Loyalty Program Strategy, Canadian Bank. I defined the target
conceptual and logical design of the bank’s loyalty solution to modernize and
expand the program to other business areas. The work involved an
assessment of the client’s current state solution, a review of the capability
model, gap analysis, and evaluation of third party products. I went through
business requirements in detail, conducted research and interviews with
subject matter experts to determine industry best practices and arrived at an
architectural recommendation and a final solution blueprint. This has led to
additional engagement with the client to identify the services required for the
bank’s journey towards its future state loyalty program.
Project: Enterprise Integration Design, Canadian Retailer. I designed
the integration solutions that involved replacement of an old system that
required updates to existing integration components (WMB and MIM). I drove
the conversations regarding the interface requirements that involved multiple
parties representing architecture, project management, business, vendor as
well as the offsite development teams. I conducted interface walkthroughs
and proactively initiated discussion sessions when needed. This led to the
completion and sign-off of all 20 interface changes affected by the system
upgrade and allowed the build phase to start on time and in parallel in some
cases.
