1. The Tiger Who Came To Tea.
-Illustrations are hand drawn & coloured by
Judith Kerr
-Serif font used to help reading from one
letter to another
-Has 32 pages covered in illustrations with
some text on both sides
-Not much text on each page, mainly small
words, with 4-6 lines in each paragraph
-Book was writing & illustrated by Judith Kerr.
-Has bright colours which draw the reader in,
and also has dull colours to contrast against
each other.
-21.6 x 26.7 cm are the dimensions for the
book
-Book was published by HarperCollins
children's books in 2006, but was first
published William Collins sons & co ltd in
1968

2. The Gruffalo.
- The Gruffalo was written by Julia
Donaldson
-Illustrations are done by Axel Scheffler
which are painted
- Font used is a custom font, but as it is
bold, clear and big so it is easy to read
- Has 32 pages which all consist of
illustrations and text, the text is paragraphs
which have 4-6 lines each
- Has bright colours to draw the reader in,
but also has some dark & dull colours as
the scene is set in a forest. This contrasts
and keeps the reader interested.
- 21.6 x 27 cm are the dimensions for the
book.
-Was published on 23rd march in 1999 by
Macmillan Children’s Books

3. The Cat In The Hat.
-Written & illustrated by Theodor Geisel,
under the pen name Dr. Seuss
- a custom font was used, but some fonts
are similar. It has clear bold and big letters,
making it easier to read it
- Has 64 pages which each contain
illustrations & text. The text is small words
in paragraphs which contain 4-6 lines
each. There is a rhyme with each
paragraph.
-The book has dark & bright colours,
mainly dark like blue, but it has the
opposite colours to contrast and keep the
reader engaged.
-15.8 x 22 cm are the dimensions for this
book
- Was first published in 1957 by Random
house, Houghton Mifflin.
