After receiving peer and teacher feedback, the student made several changes to improve the front cover design of their magazine. They removed the background from the barcode, made most fonts consistent, moved the pull quote, and added a skyline image to relate to the target audience. Additional changes included adjusting text sizes and positioning, enlarging the masthead, and adding more cover lines and text to appeal to readers and show genre hybridization. The final revisions were intended to make the design more professional, balanced, and in line with their partner's magazine cover.
2. After peer feedback from a follow student I was advised to remove the
background from the barcode to make it more professional.
3. When given peer feedback from a year 13 student, I was advised to make
most fonts the same to make the page flow better. It made my cover look
more realistic and similar of the rap genre.
4. Furthermore I was advised to move the pull out quote to the left third as it was
less visible in the top right corner. Also I decided to add a skyline of “association
with sbtv” which is a popular channel which shows rap and grime songs therefore
making it more relatable tot the target audience.
5. I then changed the positioning of the cover lines and changed the colour and
stroke of the text in order to make the centre of visual interest more
dominant.
6. After this I changed the text under the mast head to make it fit
better and to allow the image to be slight enlarged.
7. From feedback from the teacher I was recommend to make the anchorage text bigger
as it is important for this to be dominant on this page.
8. • I then changed the colour of the anchorage text and made the
stoke smaller so it was more dominant.
9. I added further text of other similar groups of artists to my magazine to
interest the reader more an make it more attractable.
10. I added more text to the left third of the page, by adding a cover line about
American artists it allows more genre hybridization and shows that it can
appeal to more of a target market.
11. I added a red line under this text to emphasise the word truth to tell the
customers that this magazine is reliable.
12. I changed same of the fonts to be the same to make it look more slick.
13. From feedback from the teacher and in order to make my magazine
like my partners I made the mast head bigger and more dominant as
the same as the other magazine.
14. I then moved the cover lines down so it was more in proportion
15. Finally I moved the skyline to the edge and in line to improve the
magazine aesthetically.
