Research We analysed the construction of
previous music videos within our
chosen genre which was
electropop, researching the
history of the genre as well as the
construction of a star/ artist in
that specific genre.
Chromebooks YouTube where we looked at other
videos for inspiration such as Halsey’s
‘Colors’ etc.
Google and Wikipedia was the most
helpful as I was able to find results that
were already available on the internet.

Planning /
Pre - Production
Initial ideas was done through We did storyboards plotting how we wanted the video to be like.
We also plotted our initial ideas beforehand to show the ideas
we wanted. We also decided that our should be a visual
representation of the lyrics where we could easily incorporate
the abstract effects.
Scanned them onto a word
document and uploaded them.
For the initial ideas, we
converted it to a mind map on
mindmeister.
Production This is the actual construction of
the music video is able to make
We utilised video
cameras,
storyboards,studio
lighting and other
props
We had to upload the images and save
it onto our drive and onto imovie as it
would be easier to transition into
editing. This was beneficial as it would
be saved as a back and precaution.
Since this was the production
the footage would be presented
as a music after being edited in
post production.
Post - Production Analysis of the music video was
put onto blogger explaining what
exactly
Chromebooks
Macs
Editing - we used iMovie to edit the
video together. We were planning on
using final cut pro but we had to
choose Imovie as there was technical
difficulties with the software.
We uploaded it to YouTube and
then onto our blogs by
embedding the YouTube link. It
was easy to done as it was
done online.

Construction The construction of my magazine poster
was created of
They were able to
make sure that they
Pixlr and photoshop was
used to create the poster
especially since my poster
was pretty abstract.
Research I’ve looked at other examples on social
media, Amazon, etc.
Analysed 2 examples on our blog which
were Troye sivan’ ‘Blue neighbourhood’
poster and Melanie Martinez ‘Cry Baby’
poster.
To do this research I
had to do this on a
computer and search
on the internet.
I used google that enabled
me to easily access what I
wanted to search for.
This was presented as just a word
document where I had images of
artists posters and analysed them
to see if they’ve also conformed to
the forms and conventions of the
electropop genre.
Planning /
Pre - Production
Planned our ideas of what to include in
our final promotional poster.
This was done by hand and scanned by a copier onto
the computer. I drew out a paper version of what i
wanted exactly on the digipak which was done in full
colour. It included labels and title of what a real poster
would include such as hashtags and etc.
This was presented as a hard copy
but scanning it online made it
easier to present as i was able to
analyse more easily where I could
erase any mistakes without leaving
visible effect.
Production The making of the magazine meant I had
to actually physically have an image that
I can easily distort to my liking.
Carried out four
different photoshoots of
the artist to create four
different digipaks.
Mac computer used for
editing the images
Used Adobe Photoshop on
the actual image. However,
I used Pixlr to carry pour
the rest as it was much
easier and the effect was
the same as on photoshop.
This was presented as a jpeg
image which was the put onto
blogger where I have analysed and
explained to why’ve i used certain
images.
Post -
Production
Presented it on a prezi/powerpoint,
giving a commentary on its design

pre-existing digipaks in the
early stages of the research
Using Chromebooks to look
on social media sites, and
shopping sites like Amazon.
Looked at other Digipaks
using google for inspiration

Pre - Production
The planning of the post
was able to make sure the

Production Similarly to the poster I had
used the same image of
Sanjana who plays the artist
S.A.R.A.
We had carried out four
different photoshoots of the
artist to create four digipaks.
We had minimal equipment
with just the camera, studio
lights, SD card and the
chromebooks’ macs.
Used Adobe Photoshop and
to edit the photo as well as
include more details of the
darker side using a special
effect brush tool.
The end result was the
finished album and
CD cover this was uploaded
and analysed onto blogger.
Post - Production ( after the
construction of the media
