In Study of Mariology & Roman Catholicism:
THE MYSTERY ON WHY THE LA SALETTE CORONATION & THE KNOCK
APPARITION HAPPENED ON THE SAME DAY
Introduction: The La Salette Apparition in France
“Our Lady of La Salette” is a Marian Apparition reported by 2 French Catholic peasant
shepherd children: Maximin Giraud (11yo) and Melanie Calvat (15yo) that occurred
at the rural mountains of La Salette, France (Europe) in 1846.
Then in 1851, the (Roman Catholic) Pope Pius IX had formally approved the public
devotion, prayers and its “secrets” (even if the “Roman Catholic Clergy of Rome” read
the Virgin’s warning that “Rome shall become the Seat of the Antichrist”).
The Marian apparition was also known to be “Our Lady of Sorrows”, “Our Lady
Reconciler of Sinners”, and “Our Lady of Tears”; and in 1854, the “Roman Catholic
Clergy of Rome” immediately proclaimed the “Immaculate Conception” belief that the
“Virgin Mary has been conceived to be free of original sin (to think as ‘god’)”.
On August 21 (1879), 33 years after the Marian Apparition of La Salette took place, the
(Roman Catholic) Pope Leo XIII formally granted a solemn papal canonical coronation
of “Our Lady”, and the large-scale Roman “Basilica of La Salette” was consecrated.
The Marian image of “Our Lady of La Salette” then became a (Roman Catholic) royal
image (and the Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIII installed a Russian style tiara, as
described in the apparition), thus, it’s an approved royal queen image of Mother Mary.
THE KNOCK APPARITION IN IRELAND
Miraculously, on that same day for the official recognition by the Roman Catholic
Church of the Marian apparition in La Salette (France), the “Mother of God” was also
appearing in the little village of Knock (Ireland) – however, that’s 1,930 kilometers apart.
“Our Lady of Knock” is the Marian title of given to the apparition that happened on the
evening of August 21 (1879) just outside a Catholic chapel in the small rural village of
Knock (Ireland), and she was also named as “Our Lady of Fathers and Apostles”.
Twenty-five Irish Catholic lay parishioners witnessed the apparition that involved Mother
Mary, Father Saint Joseph, and Saint John the Beloved Apostle, with the white “Lamb of
God” (as “Jesus Christ”), and angels – and were all enveloped with magnificent light.
The Marian Apparition was also approved by the Roman Catholic Church and a large-
scale “Marian shrine” (church building) was built, and was then named as the “Knock
Shrine” (or the "Hill of Mary" or "Mary's Hill").
But the apparition was outside the church building, and a separate image outside on the
wall, resembling the actual apparition, was also installed as the true Marian shrine.
COMPARING THE KNOCK & LA SALETTE EVENTS
The difference between the “Our Lady of La Salette” and “Our Lady of Knock”
apparitions is that the one in La Salette (France) involved the Marian apparition of the
Virgin Mary at the virginal pasture lands in the wilderness in the mountains (at an
altitude of around 6,000 feet or 1,828 meters above sea level).
But then a large-scale (Roman Catholic) “Basilica of Our Lady of La Salette” was built
on the rural lands - even if the Virgin warned that “Rome will be the seat of the
Antichrist” (who’d oppose the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ).
In the 1st century BC, Lord Jesus Christ with a crowd of poor peasants were on top of
the mountains in Holy Land, and he proclaimed that “Blessed are the meek peaceful
poor (families) for they shall inherit heaven & earth, and shall be called the children of
God”.
But Lord Jesus never built any church building or temple during his Christian ministry;
but he even warned the disciples that someday that such buildings are to be destroyed,
including the “Destruction of the (Old) City of Jerusalem”.
At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, the Virgin Mary (including Saint Joseph the father
of Jesus, Saint John as the writer of Revelation, and “Jesus” as a white lamb) were all
silent praying; but at the “Our Lady of La Salette”, the Virgin Mary was crying and the
poor peasant shepherds comforted her.
At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, Saint John appeared to be dressed in a Roman
Catholic Bishop’s uniform (with a mitre papal hat) while holding a book (said to be the
Apocalypse in his hand), while the visionaries said that Saint John could be saying:
“Rome will become the seat of the Antichrist and will represent the eclipse of the
Church, I also prophesized in the Apocalypse (in the ‘Book of Revelation’ that includes
the ‘Destruction of the City’ in chapter 18).”
INTERPRETATIONS BY THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH
Christians understand the crisis as something permitted by God for one’s final victory
and greater glory as represented by the “Glory of the Lamb of God” who appeared over
an altar, but as a holy image outside the Roman Catholic church building.
Thus, Christians understood the message of “Roman Clergy of Rome’s” coronation on
the “Our Lady of La Salette” (in France) as a self-fulfilling prophecy - just as the large-
scale feudal Roman church building was built in the mountains in ownership of “Imperial
Rome” (under the “feudal lord” rank as the “Roman Pope of Rome”, as the theocratic
monarch that represents “god” in the Western World Civilization Empire).
The Christians understood the message of the apparition at Knock (Ireland) that the
“Lamb” signifies the “Holy Eucharist”, or the celebration of the “Roman Rite” masses
inside the Roman Catholic church buildings – but the original Roman Catholic chapel
was demolished or enlarged as a construction project for “Imperial Rome” (then a white
“Crucified Jesus” was displayed in front, instead of following the apparition’s “Lamb, that
takes away the sins of the World”).
However, the apparition outside the Roman church building could meant that the
fulfillment of the scripture in John 1:29, that states: “John saw Jesus coming toward him
and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God! Who takes away the sin of the World!” –
Then many Irish Catholics feel that the “holy eucharist” should be celebrated at family
homes, in return to the original tradition of the “Early Christian (Catholic) Church” prior
to Rome’s version (since 313AD, after the 300 years of persecution by the Roman
Emperor).
MESSAGES OF HOPE FROM THE FATHER & SISTERS
Also at the Knock apparition, the presence of Jesus’ foster Father Saint Joseph, known
as the “Protector of the (Mother) Church”, sends the message to the visionaries:
“No matter how grave the crisis may be, I will continue to protect the (Mother) Church
and lead her to a safe port as I did with the ‘Holy Family’.
You, the faithful, must have recourse to me and my ‘Most Holy Spouse’, the Blessed
Virgin Mary, in this crisis.”
At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, two sisters named Mary and Margaret Byrne,
who were Irish Catholic laywomen, then she gave their testimony to the Knock
Commission:
“I there beheld the Blessed Virgin with a bright crown on her head, and St. Joseph to
her right, his head inclined a little towards Our Blessed Lady…
And St. John the Evangelist to her left, eastwards, holding in his left hand a book of the
Gospels, and his right hand raised the while, as if in the attitude of preaching to the
people who stood before him at the ditch.
The Virgin appeared with her hands uplifted as in prayer, with eyes turned towards
Heaven, and wearing a lustrous crown.
I saw an altar there. It was surrounded with a bright light, nay, with a light at times
dazzling, and so too were the other figures, who were similarly surrounded.”
IN CONCLUSION:
Catholics interpret that the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition as a more favorable event
than the coronation of “Our Lady of La Salette”.
The Virgin Mary’s apparition to the poor peasant shepherds at La Salette is considered
as the very meaning of the Marian apparition, and possibly, the “actual coronation” of
the “Virgin Mary” - for she sought acceptance from the poor children.
Meanwhile, “coronations” from the “world monarchs” (including that of the “Roman Pope
of Rome”), could often bring about privileges that discriminate the poorer common
people; thus, could then be opposing the teachings of Jesus that the “poor families
should inherit heaven & earth”.
Moreover, Saint Peter never gave any coronation to any person during his lifetime, but
he passed on the “Bishop of Rome” rank to the next Early Christian (Catholic) person,
but a commoner (and not a world monarch) – though such world tradition existed after
the Roman Empire has executed Saint Peter (and claimed to be his successor).
But nevertheless, the Catholics believe that in both Marian apparition events that the
Blessed Virgin Mary (as “The Immaculate Conception”) has defeated the “Devil Serpent
Devil”.
“Our Lady of La Salette”, pray for us; “Our Lady of Knock”, pray for us. Amen.

la salette coronation & knock apparition.docx

  • 1. In Study of Mariology & Roman Catholicism: THE MYSTERY ON WHY THE LA SALETTE CORONATION & THE KNOCK APPARITION HAPPENED ON THE SAME DAY Introduction: The La Salette Apparition in France “Our Lady of La Salette” is a Marian Apparition reported by 2 French Catholic peasant shepherd children: Maximin Giraud (11yo) and Melanie Calvat (15yo) that occurred at the rural mountains of La Salette, France (Europe) in 1846. Then in 1851, the (Roman Catholic) Pope Pius IX had formally approved the public devotion, prayers and its “secrets” (even if the “Roman Catholic Clergy of Rome” read the Virgin’s warning that “Rome shall become the Seat of the Antichrist”). The Marian apparition was also known to be “Our Lady of Sorrows”, “Our Lady Reconciler of Sinners”, and “Our Lady of Tears”; and in 1854, the “Roman Catholic Clergy of Rome” immediately proclaimed the “Immaculate Conception” belief that the “Virgin Mary has been conceived to be free of original sin (to think as ‘god’)”. On August 21 (1879), 33 years after the Marian Apparition of La Salette took place, the (Roman Catholic) Pope Leo XIII formally granted a solemn papal canonical coronation of “Our Lady”, and the large-scale Roman “Basilica of La Salette” was consecrated. The Marian image of “Our Lady of La Salette” then became a (Roman Catholic) royal image (and the Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIII installed a Russian style tiara, as described in the apparition), thus, it’s an approved royal queen image of Mother Mary. THE KNOCK APPARITION IN IRELAND Miraculously, on that same day for the official recognition by the Roman Catholic Church of the Marian apparition in La Salette (France), the “Mother of God” was also appearing in the little village of Knock (Ireland) – however, that’s 1,930 kilometers apart. “Our Lady of Knock” is the Marian title of given to the apparition that happened on the evening of August 21 (1879) just outside a Catholic chapel in the small rural village of Knock (Ireland), and she was also named as “Our Lady of Fathers and Apostles”. Twenty-five Irish Catholic lay parishioners witnessed the apparition that involved Mother Mary, Father Saint Joseph, and Saint John the Beloved Apostle, with the white “Lamb of God” (as “Jesus Christ”), and angels – and were all enveloped with magnificent light. The Marian Apparition was also approved by the Roman Catholic Church and a large- scale “Marian shrine” (church building) was built, and was then named as the “Knock Shrine” (or the "Hill of Mary" or "Mary's Hill"). But the apparition was outside the church building, and a separate image outside on the wall, resembling the actual apparition, was also installed as the true Marian shrine.
  • 2. COMPARING THE KNOCK & LA SALETTE EVENTS The difference between the “Our Lady of La Salette” and “Our Lady of Knock” apparitions is that the one in La Salette (France) involved the Marian apparition of the Virgin Mary at the virginal pasture lands in the wilderness in the mountains (at an altitude of around 6,000 feet or 1,828 meters above sea level). But then a large-scale (Roman Catholic) “Basilica of Our Lady of La Salette” was built on the rural lands - even if the Virgin warned that “Rome will be the seat of the Antichrist” (who’d oppose the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ). In the 1st century BC, Lord Jesus Christ with a crowd of poor peasants were on top of the mountains in Holy Land, and he proclaimed that “Blessed are the meek peaceful poor (families) for they shall inherit heaven & earth, and shall be called the children of God”. But Lord Jesus never built any church building or temple during his Christian ministry; but he even warned the disciples that someday that such buildings are to be destroyed, including the “Destruction of the (Old) City of Jerusalem”. At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, the Virgin Mary (including Saint Joseph the father of Jesus, Saint John as the writer of Revelation, and “Jesus” as a white lamb) were all silent praying; but at the “Our Lady of La Salette”, the Virgin Mary was crying and the poor peasant shepherds comforted her. At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, Saint John appeared to be dressed in a Roman Catholic Bishop’s uniform (with a mitre papal hat) while holding a book (said to be the Apocalypse in his hand), while the visionaries said that Saint John could be saying: “Rome will become the seat of the Antichrist and will represent the eclipse of the Church, I also prophesized in the Apocalypse (in the ‘Book of Revelation’ that includes the ‘Destruction of the City’ in chapter 18).” INTERPRETATIONS BY THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH Christians understand the crisis as something permitted by God for one’s final victory and greater glory as represented by the “Glory of the Lamb of God” who appeared over an altar, but as a holy image outside the Roman Catholic church building. Thus, Christians understood the message of “Roman Clergy of Rome’s” coronation on the “Our Lady of La Salette” (in France) as a self-fulfilling prophecy - just as the large- scale feudal Roman church building was built in the mountains in ownership of “Imperial Rome” (under the “feudal lord” rank as the “Roman Pope of Rome”, as the theocratic monarch that represents “god” in the Western World Civilization Empire).
  • 3. The Christians understood the message of the apparition at Knock (Ireland) that the “Lamb” signifies the “Holy Eucharist”, or the celebration of the “Roman Rite” masses inside the Roman Catholic church buildings – but the original Roman Catholic chapel was demolished or enlarged as a construction project for “Imperial Rome” (then a white “Crucified Jesus” was displayed in front, instead of following the apparition’s “Lamb, that takes away the sins of the World”). However, the apparition outside the Roman church building could meant that the fulfillment of the scripture in John 1:29, that states: “John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God! Who takes away the sin of the World!” – Then many Irish Catholics feel that the “holy eucharist” should be celebrated at family homes, in return to the original tradition of the “Early Christian (Catholic) Church” prior to Rome’s version (since 313AD, after the 300 years of persecution by the Roman Emperor). MESSAGES OF HOPE FROM THE FATHER & SISTERS Also at the Knock apparition, the presence of Jesus’ foster Father Saint Joseph, known as the “Protector of the (Mother) Church”, sends the message to the visionaries: “No matter how grave the crisis may be, I will continue to protect the (Mother) Church and lead her to a safe port as I did with the ‘Holy Family’. You, the faithful, must have recourse to me and my ‘Most Holy Spouse’, the Blessed Virgin Mary, in this crisis.” At the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition, two sisters named Mary and Margaret Byrne, who were Irish Catholic laywomen, then she gave their testimony to the Knock Commission: “I there beheld the Blessed Virgin with a bright crown on her head, and St. Joseph to her right, his head inclined a little towards Our Blessed Lady… And St. John the Evangelist to her left, eastwards, holding in his left hand a book of the Gospels, and his right hand raised the while, as if in the attitude of preaching to the people who stood before him at the ditch. The Virgin appeared with her hands uplifted as in prayer, with eyes turned towards Heaven, and wearing a lustrous crown. I saw an altar there. It was surrounded with a bright light, nay, with a light at times dazzling, and so too were the other figures, who were similarly surrounded.” IN CONCLUSION:
  • 4. Catholics interpret that the “Our Lady of Knock” apparition as a more favorable event than the coronation of “Our Lady of La Salette”. The Virgin Mary’s apparition to the poor peasant shepherds at La Salette is considered as the very meaning of the Marian apparition, and possibly, the “actual coronation” of the “Virgin Mary” - for she sought acceptance from the poor children. Meanwhile, “coronations” from the “world monarchs” (including that of the “Roman Pope of Rome”), could often bring about privileges that discriminate the poorer common people; thus, could then be opposing the teachings of Jesus that the “poor families should inherit heaven & earth”. Moreover, Saint Peter never gave any coronation to any person during his lifetime, but he passed on the “Bishop of Rome” rank to the next Early Christian (Catholic) person, but a commoner (and not a world monarch) – though such world tradition existed after the Roman Empire has executed Saint Peter (and claimed to be his successor). But nevertheless, the Catholics believe that in both Marian apparition events that the Blessed Virgin Mary (as “The Immaculate Conception”) has defeated the “Devil Serpent Devil”. “Our Lady of La Salette”, pray for us; “Our Lady of Knock”, pray for us. Amen. (researched; source: www.traditioninaction.org)
