THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE MARIAN DEVOTION OF THE IMMACULATE HEART
A. IN REPARATION TO BE CLEANSED FROM THE BLASPHEMIES
On May 29 (1930), one of the Marian visionaries for the 1917 “Our Lady of Fatima”
apparitions, the Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy shared a revelation with regards to
“The Five Blasphemies” while at Tuy (Spain).
The (Spanish) Roman Catholic priest asked Sister Lucy with regards to the request of
“Our Lady” about the “Five Saturdays Devotion”, and the priest questioned: "Why five
Saturdays? And not nine, or seven, in honor of the sorrows of Our Lady?"
That same evening, the visionary-seer implored “Our Lord” to inspire her with an answer
to the Roman Catholic priest’s questions; then a few days later, Sister Lucy passed the
following to her confessor:
"When I was in the chapel with ‘Our Lord’ part of the night of May 29-30 (1930), and I
spoke to ‘Our Lord’ about the questions. I suddenly felt myself more intimately
possessed by the Divine Presence and, if I am not mistaken, this is what was revealed
to me:
‘My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies
committed against the ‘Immaculate Heart of Mary’ (the mother of ‘Lord Jesus’):
1. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Immaculate Conception’ (the Virgin Mary has
been free of original sin from the moment of her conception);
2. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Perpetual Virginity’ (the Virgin Mary, the
mother of Jesus Christ, was a virgin — before, during and after the birth of Christ);
3. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Divine Maternity’ (in refusing at the same time
to recognize her as the ‘Holy Mother’ of all men);
4. The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children
indifference or scorn, or even hatred of this ‘Immaculate Mother’, the Virgin Mary;
5. The offenses of those who outrage the Virgin Mary directly in her holy images…
Here, my daughter, is the reason why the ‘Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary’ inspired
me to ask for this little act of Reparation…”
B. THE COMMENTARY OF A (MARIAN) ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST
The image of the ‘thorns’ of the ‘Immaculate Heart of Virgin Mary’ has been explained
by the Roman Catholic priest Father Alonso in his study on the Marian messages of
Sister Lucy (in Pontevedra), that he referred to the “blasphemies of heretics,
schismatics and impious men blinded by a deceitful ecumenism”.
The priest wrote: “We have had a tendency since 1962 to forget that there is an obvious
truth recalled here by the Message of Fatima: those who obstinately and with full
knowledge openly deny the prerogatives of the Blessed Virgin Mary, commit the most
odious blasphemies in Her regard.”
The Roman Catholic priest reminds the dogma defined by the Roman Catholic Pope
Pius IX and who have continued to maintain that the Blessed Virgin Mary was
conceived without the stain of Original Sin, and even personal sins.
The Roman Catholic priest has also affirmed that the Roman Catholic Church and the
Orthodox (Catholic) Church believe in the “Perpetual Virginity” of the Virgin Mary.
With regards to “Divine Maternity”, the Roman Catholic priest reminded the theoretically
accepted doctrine on the “Divine Maternity of Mary” defined at the “Council of Ephesus”
(in 431AD, held by the Roman Emperor Theodosius II, at the “Church of Mary” in
Ephesus in Anatolia).
The Roman Catholic priest assures that the doctrine affirms that the Virgin Mary is the
“Mother of men”, in the Catholic sense, which implies her co-redemption and her role as
Mediatrix of grace.
The Roman Catholic priest, at that time, affirms that the Roman Catholic Church
promotes the Immaculate Virgin, including the Catholic theology on the holy images, for
her reign in hearts and over all societies.
The Roman Catholic priest also affirms that the Marian doctrine and devotion, and the
profound veneration for the Mother of God, has been anchored in the soul of the
Russian people (via the belief in the “Theotokos” among the Russian Orthodox
Christians).
And that the priest adds, that during the Communist take-over in the 20th century, the
holy icons had to be hidden, and they still await a happier day.
The Roman Catholic priest, Father Richard, leader of the “Blue Army of Our Lady of
Fatima” in France, remarked on the subject:
"Who could have imagined fifty years ago that these five great offenses against Mary
would spread within the clergy of the (Roman) Catholic Church herself, and that a great
number of Baptized and catechized children in our parishes would not even know any
longer how to say the 'Hail Mary'!"
The situation has become so prevalent that there are certain (Roman Catholic)
theologians, priests, bishops, cardinals, and even popes are guilty of the five
blasphemies.
C. THE MESSAGES OF THE (MARIAN) ROMAN CATHOLIC NUN
Sister Lucy Explains the “Devotion of the Five First Saturdays” as “The Devotion of
Reparation: a secret of mercy for sinners”.
After enumerating the five blasphemies which gravely offend His Most Holy Mother,
‘Our Lord’ gave the (Marian) Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy the decisive explanation
which allows us to penetrate into the secret of Her Immaculate Heart, which overflows
with mercy for all sinners, even those who scorn and outrage Her:
"See, my daughter, the motive for which the ‘Immaculate Heart of Mary’ inspired me to
ask for this little Reparation, and in consideration of it, to move my mercy to pardon
souls who have had the misfortune of offending her. As for you, always seek by your
prayers and sacrifices to move my mercy to pity for these poor souls.”
The messages of the (Marian) Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy says that the veneration
of the Virgin Mary is to avoid “the sin against the Holy Spirit." One of the principal
themes of the message of “Our Lady of Fatima” states:
“Since God has decided to manifest more and more his great design of love, which is to
grant all graces to men through the mediation of the Immaculate Virgin, it seems that
their refusal to submit with docility to what God wills is the fault which most gravely
wounds his Heart, and for which He no longer finds in himself any inclination to pardon.
This sin seems unforgivable, because for ‘Our Savior’ there is no crime more
unpardonable than to despise his ‘Most Holy Mother’, and to outrage her ‘Immaculate
Heart’, which is the ‘Sanctuary of the Holy Spirit’.
This is committing ‘the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will not be forgiven in
this world or in the next’."
In 1929, in the Marian apparition of Tuy (Spain), which is the final fulfillment of “Our
Lady of Fatima”, she concluded the extraordinary manifestation of the “Holy Trinity” with
these words:
"So many are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against
me that I come to ask for Reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray."
"A little act of Reparation to save the greatest sinners” as “Our Lady” affirms sadly, that
many souls are lost because of their scorn, their blasphemies against her… Thus, she
herself intervenes, because she alone can still save.
As the "Mother of Mercy” and the “Mother of Pardon”, we pray or sing the “Salve, mater
salvatoris”, meaning, “Hail, mother of the Savior”, with the following lyrics:
Refrain: Hail, Mother of mercy, Mother of God, and Mother of pardon, Mother of hope,
and Mother of grace, Mother full of holy joy, O Mary!
Verses:
1. Hail, honor of mankind; hail, Virgin worthier than others, who surpass all virgins and
in heaven occupy the highest seat of honor, O Mary!
2. Hail, happy child-bearing Mother, for He Who sits at the right hand of the Father,
ruling heaven, earth, and sky, didst enclose Himself within Thy womb, O Mary!
3. O Mother, be our solace; thou Virgin, be our joy; at last, after this exile, join us,
rejoicing, to the heavenly choirs, O Mary!
In the prayer “Hail, mother of the Savior”, she intercedes for us before her Son Jesus:
may the filial devotion of faithful souls, and the “Communions of Reparation” offered on
the Five First Saturdays to console her outraged Heart, be accepted by him in
Reparation for the sins of sinners.
“Our Lady” prays that her Son Jesus accepts the "little devotion”, and take into account
this "little act of Reparation" to her “Immaculate Heart”, and grant pardon in spite of
everything, to the ingrates and blasphemers, all the poor souls who have offended her –
but the Virgin Mary, is his Most Holy Mother.
And as always, “Our Lord” grants her desire. In this way he makes the devotion of
Reparation a sure and efficacious means of converting souls, many souls, among those
who are in the greatest danger of being eternally lost.
We must quote a significant text in which "the great promise" itself is a secondary
consideration, effacing itself before the primary intention of the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, which is the salvation of all sinners.
In May of 1930, Sister Lucy wrote to her spiritual director, the Roman Catholic priest
Father Gonçalves:
"It seems to me that the good Lord, in the depths of my heart, insists that I ask the Holy
Father to approve the devotion of Reparation, which God Himself and the Most Holy
Virgin deigned to request in 1925.
In consideration of this little devotion, They wish to give the grace of pardon to souls
who have had the misfortune of offending the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Most
Holy Virgin promises to souls who will seek to make Reparation to Her in this manner,
to assist them in the hour of death with all the graces necessary for their salvation."
Reparation is necessary. To save souls, all souls, "especially those who are most in
need”, to save them all from the fires of Hell which threatens them, is then, in the final
analysis, the principal intention of the practice of the first Saturdays of the month, just as
it was already the same intention Our Lady indicated on August 19 (1917), urgently
inviting the three shepherds (including Saint Francisco Marto & Saint Jacinta Marto) to
pray and make sacrifices:
"Pray, pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because
they have nobody to pray and make sacrifices for them."
The Blessed Virgin Mary has been constituted the universal Mediatrix and the “Mother
of Divine Grace”. Nevertheless, by a design of Providence which wills us to be joined to
her…She needs us, our consoling love and our "little devotions" of Reparation, to save
souls from Hell.
Exalted and awesome is the mystery of the “Communion of Saints”, which makes the
salvation of many souls really dependent on our own generosity.
And what a motive for generosity on our part. For how could we refuse this missionary
action which “Our Lady” awaits of us, which she has made so easy to fulfill.
Remember that with the permission of a priest, all the exercises requested can be
transferred to Sunday when these same exercises are so efficacious, so fruitful.
For through this devotion many souls in imminent danger of being eternally lost can
obtain, at the last moment and as it were in spite of themselves, the grace of their
conversion.
To console the “Immaculate Heart of Mary” (pierced with thorns), to make Reparation
for the outrages it receives from sinners by prayer and sacrifice, such in the end is the
most precise requirement of this first part of the Secret, which Our Lady came to recall
and clarify at Pontevedra, in 1925: "You, at least, try to console Me."
Now the most perfect sacrifice, the most efficacious prayer, is of course the “Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass and Holy Communion” offered to God in the spirit of Reparation.
All this helps us understand the pressing insistence of Our Lady, her ardent desire that
this devotion of Reparation be practiced everywhere as frequently as possible.
This devotion is the dearest to her, because it is the most perfect and therefore the most
efficacious for the salvation of souls, because she desires our co-operation, and she
has enjoined the most wonderful promises to the Marian devotion.
"Peace depends on it", in fact, in addition to the conversion of sinners and our own
eternal salvation, “Our Lady” has willed that the “Communion of Reparation” be linked to
another magnificent promise: “the gift of peace”.
On March 19 (1939), Sister Lucy wrote: "Whether the world has war or peace depends
on the practice of this devotion, along with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary. This is why I desire its propagation so ardently, especially because this is also the
will of our dear Mother in Heaven."
And on June 20 (1939), Sister Lucy wrote: "Our Lady promised to put off the scourge of
war, if this devotion was propagated and practiced.
We see that she will obtain remission of this chastisement to the extent that efforts are
made to propagate this devotion; but many fear that we cannot do any more than we
are doing and that God, being displeased, will pull back the arm of his mercy and let the
world be ravaged by this chastisement, which will be unlike any other in the past.
Two months later, war had been declared, and still nothing had been done to
correspond to the requests of Heaven; because the capital secret is that “The
Immaculate Heart of Mary, is the Salvation of Souls”.
The great Divine policy revealed by the “Queen of Heaven” at the Cova da Iria, with the
promises of universal and enduring peace and also threats of fearsome chastisements
is only an instrument used by the Divine Mercy to obtain the salvation of souls, the
greatest possible number of souls.
In the final analysis, it is to the first part of the Secret that we must always return, for it is
undoubtedly the principal and most important one in the eyes of God. So we pray the
Fatima Prayer:
“O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to
Heaven, especially those who need most of your mercy. Amen.”
To save souls, all souls, from the only real evil because it is the only eternal one is to
save them from the fires of Hell, such is also the first concern of the “Immaculate Heart
of Mary”.
At Fatima, She revealed this “Immaculate Heart” as a refuge and ultimate recourse of
sinners, even the most hateful and miserable, because she is the “Mediatrix of Mercy”,
and the “Gate of Heaven”.
That’s a part of her great Secret, because it is also the first secret of her Immaculate
Heart: that Sister Lucy described the “First Secret” (The Vision of Hell) in her Memoirs,
and she wrote:
"Frightened, and as if to ask for help, we lifted our eyes up to ‘Our Lady’, who said to us
with kindness and sadness:
'You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to
establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart…
If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace… I shall
come to ask for the ‘Communion of Reparation’ on the first Saturdays of the month’."
The little saints Saint Jacinta Marto, Saint Francisco Marto and (Sister) Lúcia de Jesus
Rosa dos Santos have understood perfectly the great warning of “Our Lady” for the
salvation of souls.
Sister Lucy recalls: "Sometimes, she would gather flowers from the field and sing to a
melody which she herself had invented, at the same time:"
A prayer that the little poor peasant shepherd children wrote: “O Sweet Heart of Mary,
by my salvation! Immaculate Heart of Mary, convert sinners, save souls from Hell!”
Through the “Immaculate Heart of Mary” that the “Holy Trinity” wishes us save: our
souls, all souls, to keep them away from the fire of Hell, and open up Heaven to them.

D. LEONINE PRAYERS AFTER HOLY MASS AND COMMUNION
The “Leonine Prayers” are a set of prayers introduced by the Roman Catholic Pope Leo
XIII from 1884; and were prescribed for recitation by the Roman Catholic priests and the
Catholic laypeople after the (Roman Rite) Mass that includes the prayers “Hail Mary”,
“Hail Holy Queen”, “Prayer to Archangel Saint Michael”, “Sacred Heart of Jesus”, etc.
After the Vatican II (of the “Roman Clergy of Rome” in 1965), the “Leonine Prayers”
were removed (or not obliged in the Roman Rite Mass), and the “New Order” Mass was
published, while the Marian devotees continued to pray the “Leonine Prayers” via the
“Holy Rosary of the Virgin Mary” personally, as a family, & among family homes.
The Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIII composed the “Prayer to Saint Michael the
Archangel” to defend against “The Great Apostasy”, and was reinforced by the Roman
Catholic Pope Pius XI and Pope Pius XII for the conversion of Russia.
Before the Vatican removed the “Leonine Prayers” from the Roman Rite Masses (in
1965), the previous Roman Catholic Popes followed the requests of the Marian
messages of “Our Lady of Fatima” (to consecrate Russia to the “Immaculate Heart of
Mary”, and forewarned that the “Devil will be revealed at the summit of the church”).
Thus, the following is the page for the previous version of the Roman Rite Mass (prior to
1965), therefore, the Roman Catholics must meditate upon the prayers (that’s also part
of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary), in union with the Marian devotion of
“Reparation from the blasphemies to the Immaculate Heart”; and thus, we pray:
“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen. (Said 3 times)
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee to we
cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and
weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy
toward us, and after this exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O
clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ. Let us pray.
O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with mercy upon the people who cry to
Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of
God, of Saint Joseph her spouse, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the
saints, in Thy mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and
for the liberty and exaltation of the Holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ
Our Lord. Amen.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do
thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell Satan and all
the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. Amen.”

FATIMA DEVOTION TO IMMACULATE HEART (against the blasphemies).docx

  • 1. In Study of Mariology, Catholicism & Roman Catholicism: THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE MARIAN DEVOTION OF THE IMMACULATE HEART A. IN REPARATION TO BE CLEANSED FROM THE BLASPHEMIES On May 29 (1930), one of the Marian visionaries for the 1917 “Our Lady of Fatima” apparitions, the Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy shared a revelation with regards to “The Five Blasphemies” while at Tuy (Spain). The (Spanish) Roman Catholic priest asked Sister Lucy with regards to the request of “Our Lady” about the “Five Saturdays Devotion”, and the priest questioned: "Why five Saturdays? And not nine, or seven, in honor of the sorrows of Our Lady?" That same evening, the visionary-seer implored “Our Lord” to inspire her with an answer to the Roman Catholic priest’s questions; then a few days later, Sister Lucy passed the following to her confessor: "When I was in the chapel with ‘Our Lord’ part of the night of May 29-30 (1930), and I spoke to ‘Our Lord’ about the questions. I suddenly felt myself more intimately possessed by the Divine Presence and, if I am not mistaken, this is what was revealed to me: ‘My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the ‘Immaculate Heart of Mary’ (the mother of ‘Lord Jesus’): 1. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Immaculate Conception’ (the Virgin Mary has been free of original sin from the moment of her conception); 2. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Perpetual Virginity’ (the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, was a virgin — before, during and after the birth of Christ); 3. Blasphemies against the Virgin Mary’s ‘Divine Maternity’ (in refusing at the same time to recognize her as the ‘Holy Mother’ of all men); 4. The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children indifference or scorn, or even hatred of this ‘Immaculate Mother’, the Virgin Mary; 5. The offenses of those who outrage the Virgin Mary directly in her holy images… Here, my daughter, is the reason why the ‘Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary’ inspired me to ask for this little act of Reparation…” B. THE COMMENTARY OF A (MARIAN) ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST The image of the ‘thorns’ of the ‘Immaculate Heart of Virgin Mary’ has been explained by the Roman Catholic priest Father Alonso in his study on the Marian messages of
  • 2. Sister Lucy (in Pontevedra), that he referred to the “blasphemies of heretics, schismatics and impious men blinded by a deceitful ecumenism”. The priest wrote: “We have had a tendency since 1962 to forget that there is an obvious truth recalled here by the Message of Fatima: those who obstinately and with full knowledge openly deny the prerogatives of the Blessed Virgin Mary, commit the most odious blasphemies in Her regard.” The Roman Catholic priest reminds the dogma defined by the Roman Catholic Pope Pius IX and who have continued to maintain that the Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived without the stain of Original Sin, and even personal sins. The Roman Catholic priest has also affirmed that the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox (Catholic) Church believe in the “Perpetual Virginity” of the Virgin Mary. With regards to “Divine Maternity”, the Roman Catholic priest reminded the theoretically accepted doctrine on the “Divine Maternity of Mary” defined at the “Council of Ephesus” (in 431AD, held by the Roman Emperor Theodosius II, at the “Church of Mary” in Ephesus in Anatolia). The Roman Catholic priest assures that the doctrine affirms that the Virgin Mary is the “Mother of men”, in the Catholic sense, which implies her co-redemption and her role as Mediatrix of grace. The Roman Catholic priest, at that time, affirms that the Roman Catholic Church promotes the Immaculate Virgin, including the Catholic theology on the holy images, for her reign in hearts and over all societies. The Roman Catholic priest also affirms that the Marian doctrine and devotion, and the profound veneration for the Mother of God, has been anchored in the soul of the Russian people (via the belief in the “Theotokos” among the Russian Orthodox Christians). And that the priest adds, that during the Communist take-over in the 20th century, the holy icons had to be hidden, and they still await a happier day. The Roman Catholic priest, Father Richard, leader of the “Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima” in France, remarked on the subject: "Who could have imagined fifty years ago that these five great offenses against Mary would spread within the clergy of the (Roman) Catholic Church herself, and that a great number of Baptized and catechized children in our parishes would not even know any longer how to say the 'Hail Mary'!"
  • 3. The situation has become so prevalent that there are certain (Roman Catholic) theologians, priests, bishops, cardinals, and even popes are guilty of the five blasphemies. C. THE MESSAGES OF THE (MARIAN) ROMAN CATHOLIC NUN Sister Lucy Explains the “Devotion of the Five First Saturdays” as “The Devotion of Reparation: a secret of mercy for sinners”. After enumerating the five blasphemies which gravely offend His Most Holy Mother, ‘Our Lord’ gave the (Marian) Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy the decisive explanation which allows us to penetrate into the secret of Her Immaculate Heart, which overflows with mercy for all sinners, even those who scorn and outrage Her: "See, my daughter, the motive for which the ‘Immaculate Heart of Mary’ inspired me to ask for this little Reparation, and in consideration of it, to move my mercy to pardon souls who have had the misfortune of offending her. As for you, always seek by your prayers and sacrifices to move my mercy to pity for these poor souls.” The messages of the (Marian) Roman Catholic nun Sister Lucy says that the veneration of the Virgin Mary is to avoid “the sin against the Holy Spirit." One of the principal themes of the message of “Our Lady of Fatima” states: “Since God has decided to manifest more and more his great design of love, which is to grant all graces to men through the mediation of the Immaculate Virgin, it seems that their refusal to submit with docility to what God wills is the fault which most gravely wounds his Heart, and for which He no longer finds in himself any inclination to pardon. This sin seems unforgivable, because for ‘Our Savior’ there is no crime more unpardonable than to despise his ‘Most Holy Mother’, and to outrage her ‘Immaculate Heart’, which is the ‘Sanctuary of the Holy Spirit’. This is committing ‘the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will not be forgiven in this world or in the next’." In 1929, in the Marian apparition of Tuy (Spain), which is the final fulfillment of “Our Lady of Fatima”, she concluded the extraordinary manifestation of the “Holy Trinity” with these words: "So many are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against me that I come to ask for Reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray." "A little act of Reparation to save the greatest sinners” as “Our Lady” affirms sadly, that many souls are lost because of their scorn, their blasphemies against her… Thus, she herself intervenes, because she alone can still save.
  • 4. As the "Mother of Mercy” and the “Mother of Pardon”, we pray or sing the “Salve, mater salvatoris”, meaning, “Hail, mother of the Savior”, with the following lyrics: Refrain: Hail, Mother of mercy, Mother of God, and Mother of pardon, Mother of hope, and Mother of grace, Mother full of holy joy, O Mary! Verses: 1. Hail, honor of mankind; hail, Virgin worthier than others, who surpass all virgins and in heaven occupy the highest seat of honor, O Mary! 2. Hail, happy child-bearing Mother, for He Who sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling heaven, earth, and sky, didst enclose Himself within Thy womb, O Mary! 3. O Mother, be our solace; thou Virgin, be our joy; at last, after this exile, join us, rejoicing, to the heavenly choirs, O Mary! In the prayer “Hail, mother of the Savior”, she intercedes for us before her Son Jesus: may the filial devotion of faithful souls, and the “Communions of Reparation” offered on the Five First Saturdays to console her outraged Heart, be accepted by him in Reparation for the sins of sinners. “Our Lady” prays that her Son Jesus accepts the "little devotion”, and take into account this "little act of Reparation" to her “Immaculate Heart”, and grant pardon in spite of everything, to the ingrates and blasphemers, all the poor souls who have offended her – but the Virgin Mary, is his Most Holy Mother. And as always, “Our Lord” grants her desire. In this way he makes the devotion of Reparation a sure and efficacious means of converting souls, many souls, among those who are in the greatest danger of being eternally lost. We must quote a significant text in which "the great promise" itself is a secondary consideration, effacing itself before the primary intention of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which is the salvation of all sinners. In May of 1930, Sister Lucy wrote to her spiritual director, the Roman Catholic priest Father Gonçalves: "It seems to me that the good Lord, in the depths of my heart, insists that I ask the Holy Father to approve the devotion of Reparation, which God Himself and the Most Holy Virgin deigned to request in 1925. In consideration of this little devotion, They wish to give the grace of pardon to souls who have had the misfortune of offending the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Most Holy Virgin promises to souls who will seek to make Reparation to Her in this manner, to assist them in the hour of death with all the graces necessary for their salvation."
  • 5. Reparation is necessary. To save souls, all souls, "especially those who are most in need”, to save them all from the fires of Hell which threatens them, is then, in the final analysis, the principal intention of the practice of the first Saturdays of the month, just as it was already the same intention Our Lady indicated on August 19 (1917), urgently inviting the three shepherds (including Saint Francisco Marto & Saint Jacinta Marto) to pray and make sacrifices: "Pray, pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because they have nobody to pray and make sacrifices for them." The Blessed Virgin Mary has been constituted the universal Mediatrix and the “Mother of Divine Grace”. Nevertheless, by a design of Providence which wills us to be joined to her…She needs us, our consoling love and our "little devotions" of Reparation, to save souls from Hell. Exalted and awesome is the mystery of the “Communion of Saints”, which makes the salvation of many souls really dependent on our own generosity. And what a motive for generosity on our part. For how could we refuse this missionary action which “Our Lady” awaits of us, which she has made so easy to fulfill. Remember that with the permission of a priest, all the exercises requested can be transferred to Sunday when these same exercises are so efficacious, so fruitful. For through this devotion many souls in imminent danger of being eternally lost can obtain, at the last moment and as it were in spite of themselves, the grace of their conversion. To console the “Immaculate Heart of Mary” (pierced with thorns), to make Reparation for the outrages it receives from sinners by prayer and sacrifice, such in the end is the most precise requirement of this first part of the Secret, which Our Lady came to recall and clarify at Pontevedra, in 1925: "You, at least, try to console Me." Now the most perfect sacrifice, the most efficacious prayer, is of course the “Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Holy Communion” offered to God in the spirit of Reparation. All this helps us understand the pressing insistence of Our Lady, her ardent desire that this devotion of Reparation be practiced everywhere as frequently as possible. This devotion is the dearest to her, because it is the most perfect and therefore the most efficacious for the salvation of souls, because she desires our co-operation, and she has enjoined the most wonderful promises to the Marian devotion.
  • 6. "Peace depends on it", in fact, in addition to the conversion of sinners and our own eternal salvation, “Our Lady” has willed that the “Communion of Reparation” be linked to another magnificent promise: “the gift of peace”. On March 19 (1939), Sister Lucy wrote: "Whether the world has war or peace depends on the practice of this devotion, along with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is why I desire its propagation so ardently, especially because this is also the will of our dear Mother in Heaven." And on June 20 (1939), Sister Lucy wrote: "Our Lady promised to put off the scourge of war, if this devotion was propagated and practiced. We see that she will obtain remission of this chastisement to the extent that efforts are made to propagate this devotion; but many fear that we cannot do any more than we are doing and that God, being displeased, will pull back the arm of his mercy and let the world be ravaged by this chastisement, which will be unlike any other in the past. Two months later, war had been declared, and still nothing had been done to correspond to the requests of Heaven; because the capital secret is that “The Immaculate Heart of Mary, is the Salvation of Souls”. The great Divine policy revealed by the “Queen of Heaven” at the Cova da Iria, with the promises of universal and enduring peace and also threats of fearsome chastisements is only an instrument used by the Divine Mercy to obtain the salvation of souls, the greatest possible number of souls. In the final analysis, it is to the first part of the Secret that we must always return, for it is undoubtedly the principal and most important one in the eyes of God. So we pray the Fatima Prayer: “O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who need most of your mercy. Amen.” To save souls, all souls, from the only real evil because it is the only eternal one is to save them from the fires of Hell, such is also the first concern of the “Immaculate Heart of Mary”. At Fatima, She revealed this “Immaculate Heart” as a refuge and ultimate recourse of sinners, even the most hateful and miserable, because she is the “Mediatrix of Mercy”, and the “Gate of Heaven”. That’s a part of her great Secret, because it is also the first secret of her Immaculate Heart: that Sister Lucy described the “First Secret” (The Vision of Hell) in her Memoirs, and she wrote:
  • 7. "Frightened, and as if to ask for help, we lifted our eyes up to ‘Our Lady’, who said to us with kindness and sadness: 'You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart… If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace… I shall come to ask for the ‘Communion of Reparation’ on the first Saturdays of the month’." The little saints Saint Jacinta Marto, Saint Francisco Marto and (Sister) Lúcia de Jesus Rosa dos Santos have understood perfectly the great warning of “Our Lady” for the salvation of souls. Sister Lucy recalls: "Sometimes, she would gather flowers from the field and sing to a melody which she herself had invented, at the same time:" A prayer that the little poor peasant shepherd children wrote: “O Sweet Heart of Mary, by my salvation! Immaculate Heart of Mary, convert sinners, save souls from Hell!” Through the “Immaculate Heart of Mary” that the “Holy Trinity” wishes us save: our souls, all souls, to keep them away from the fire of Hell, and open up Heaven to them. (source: “The Fatima Crusader”) D. LEONINE PRAYERS AFTER HOLY MASS AND COMMUNION The “Leonine Prayers” are a set of prayers introduced by the Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIII from 1884; and were prescribed for recitation by the Roman Catholic priests and the Catholic laypeople after the (Roman Rite) Mass that includes the prayers “Hail Mary”, “Hail Holy Queen”, “Prayer to Archangel Saint Michael”, “Sacred Heart of Jesus”, etc. After the Vatican II (of the “Roman Clergy of Rome” in 1965), the “Leonine Prayers” were removed (or not obliged in the Roman Rite Mass), and the “New Order” Mass was published, while the Marian devotees continued to pray the “Leonine Prayers” via the “Holy Rosary of the Virgin Mary” personally, as a family, & among family homes. The Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIII composed the “Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel” to defend against “The Great Apostasy”, and was reinforced by the Roman Catholic Pope Pius XI and Pope Pius XII for the conversion of Russia. Before the Vatican removed the “Leonine Prayers” from the Roman Rite Masses (in 1965), the previous Roman Catholic Popes followed the requests of the Marian messages of “Our Lady of Fatima” (to consecrate Russia to the “Immaculate Heart of Mary”, and forewarned that the “Devil will be revealed at the summit of the church”).
  • 8. Thus, the following is the page for the previous version of the Roman Rite Mass (prior to 1965), therefore, the Roman Catholics must meditate upon the prayers (that’s also part of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary), in union with the Marian devotion of “Reparation from the blasphemies to the Immaculate Heart”; and thus, we pray: “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. (Said 3 times) Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee to we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with mercy upon the people who cry to Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Saint Joseph her spouse, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the saints, in Thy mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of the Holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. Amen.” (researched)
