into bone thus lowering blood levels of calcium

 Regulates calcium in blood. If calcium levels are to low then this
hormone increases and stimulate bone breakdown to release more
calcium into blood.

 Located superior and anterior to heart
 This is large as a child but shrinks at puberty till it turns into
connective tissue

 Allows for proper development of immune system

11.  Located on lower curvature of stomach
 Both endocrine and exocrine function
› Endocrine secretions at pancreatic islet or islets of Langerhans
 Hormones
› Insulin
 Stimulates cells in body to take glucose, lowering body sugar levels
› Glucagon
 Stimulates liver to release glucose into blood

› Epinephrine= adrenaline
› Norepinephrine
 Fight or flight hormones

production
