This is our group evaluation for question 4 which is: How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA
TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION
AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND
EVALUATION STAGES?

2. IN ORDER TO CREATE THE
TRAILER WE HAVE USED:
We have used Photoshop for a couple of different things
within the trailer such as, the distribution logo and the
production logo. Photoshop was used as it is the best
software in order to create logo’s.

3. This has been used to create the majority of the trailer as it
has been used to add all of the clips together to form them
into a trailer. Premiere Pro has also been used in order to cut
the long clips a lot shorter in order to make it look a lot more
like a trailer than a film. Lastly, it has also been used in order
to change the transitions of the clip therefore making scenes
fade to black or making them fade in and out onto the next
clip of the trailer.

4. This has been used in order to make the title slides such as
‘Mia Jones as Riven Morris’ and ‘Jacob Axford as Gray
Johnson’. They were created on After Effects in order to add
an effect to make it look a lot more interesting than if the clip
just came up with the text on it. Instead it looks as though
someone is typing the adjectives/actors names as they come
up.

5. This was used in order to add the voiceover over the top of
the filming. We recorded the voices of the actors which are
within the clip and other people for the title slides. We added
this into the trailer on Premiere Pro and sectioned it up with
the trailer so the voices match the trailer.

6. Garage band was used in order to create the music which we
added to the trailer. Mia created her own music on Garage
Band in order to add it to the film trailer. The film trailer was
inserted onto Garage Band so that Mia was able to see what
kind of music fits in with it.

7. Voicethread was used in order to upload the voice
recordings, they were uploaded onto voicethread and then
they were dragged onto Premiere Pro in order for it to fit in
with the trailer.

8. This was used in order to transfer documents from an iPhone
onto the computer so we were able to add the documents to
the trailer.

9. We used YouTube in order to look at tutorials to used
Premiere Pro and to use After Effects. This was so we were
able to learn the techniques in order to edit the trailer and to
transform the text so it would glide on rather than just come
up as a standard title.

10. We also used SlideShare in order to look at what other
people have done and in order to get ideas. The ideas which
we gathered from looking on other peoples SlideShare was
the sound terminology and how to create sound on Garage
Band.

11. We used Blogger in order to show the progress we have
made from the editing and from the music which was made
on Garage Band. Blogger has helped us collect all of our
work together and show our progression of making the film
trailer.

12. iShowu was used in order to talk about what has been done
on the making of the music for the trailer and it was used
aswell in order to show the complete layout of the trailer.

13. We used Google in order to research all the things which we
needed to find out and what we needed to go on such as
YouTube, Blogger, SlideShare.

14. Notes was used in order to jot things down what we needed
to do and so we could remember what we needed to do in
order to finish all the trailer aspects.

15. We used Facebook in order to get feedback about what
people think of the plot of our film and to find out what
people think about our finished trailer.
