Visual Planning
This image is representative of the
framing I want to use for the music
video. A girl, alone on her bed in her
room scrolling endlessly on her phone
late at night very unsatisfied with life in
general. Frustrated by this, she
desperately tries to find someone she
can get into a relationship with so she
feels less isolated and lonely
Kim's official music video is also
a large source for inspiration for
my music video as the visual of
being trapped alone in her room
is something that is very on-
brand with her aesthetic evident
through the video itself.

• Cut to pictures on the wall of
different guys the artist is
referencing as she claws towards
them.
• Out of focus background to a blurry
foreground
• Back and forth cuts to the artist's
reaction/singing to the images
themselves
• Be able to change the level of
focus when filming or in post-
production
Even if it means that I'll never put
myself back together

Even if I'll end up in shatters, baby it
doesn't matter

• Cut back to the artist on the bed lip
syncing, quick cutting between the artist
doing different things on the bed whilst
lip-syncing, such as a high angle shot
downwards of her taking selfies etc and
looking annoyed in between each photo
• Still using the framing of the box to show
she feels trapped and isolated
• Maintain a consistent eye level
between shots so when cutting
to different angles or when the
artist is posing differently the
shots flow seamlessly
together

different corners of the bedroom
rapidly cutting between each one at
the end of each line of the lyrics, a
mix of close ups and full body shots
to show off the artist
• Maintain camera stability
and compensate for lighting
and make sure not to cast
any shadow, keep the set the
same and don't move anything
in the background for consistency
between shots
Storyboarding

• Alternatively, hand draw or photograph your storyboard and scan or
copy to insert it onto your slides

Music Video Pre-Production

  • 3. This image is representative of the framing I want to use for the music video. A girl, alone on her bed in her room scrolling endlessly on her phone late at night very unsatisfied with life in general. Frustrated by this, she desperately tries to find someone she can get into a relationship with so she feels less isolated and lonely Kim's official music video is also a large source for inspiration for my music video as the visual of being trapped alone in her room is something that is very on- brand with her aesthetic evident through the video itself.

Ah And when you touch me, I'm a fool This game I know I'm gonna lose Makes me want you more • Cut to pictures on the wall of different guys the artist is referencing as she claws towards them. • Out of focus background to a blurry foreground • Back and forth cuts to the artist's reaction/singing to the images themselves • Be able to change the level of focus when filming or in post- production Even if it means that I'll never put myself back together Gonna give you my heart to break Even if I'll end up in shatters, baby it doesn't matter Gonna give you my heart to break I tried to fight, but I can't help it Don't care if this is my worst mistake 'Cause no one else could do it better That's why I give you my heart to break • Cut back to the artist on the bed lip syncing, quick cutting between the artist doing different things on the bed whilst lip-syncing, such as a high angle shot downwards of her taking selfies etc and looking annoyed in between each photo • Still using the framing of the box to show she feels trapped and isolated • Maintain a consistent eye level between shots so when cutting to different angles or when the artist is posing differently the shots flow seamlessly together

(Ah) And when you touch me, I'm a fool This game I know I'm gonna lose Makes me want you more • Artist is on the floor in front of the bed upside down, lip-syncing to the bridge of the song • Cut to the beat, as well as cutting to a different angle on 'Ah' • Ground level camera, artist looking directly into the lens. Even if it means that I'll never put myself back together Gonna give you my heart to break Even if I'll end up in shatters, baby it doesn't matter Gonna give you my heart to break I tried to fight, but I can't help it (I tried to fight, help it) Don't care if this is my worst mistake 'Cause no one else could do it better (no one else, better) That's why I give you my heart to break • Multiple shots from different corners of the bedroom rapidly cutting between each one at the end of each line of the lyrics, a mix of close ups and full body shots to show off the artist • Maintain camera stability and compensate for lighting and make sure not to cast any shadow, keep the set the same and don't move anything in the background for consistency between shots
