Idea for our production

2. Intro
In this presentation, I will explore The, themes and subgenres and basic
plot of our production. I will include a brief synopsis and our target
audience an our unique selling point. (including target research) but will
go into full and complete detail of the production (character profiles,
props, location, makeup, costume) in a separate visual. Furthermore in
another separate presentation I will include a detailed exploration and
visual of the narrative)

3. Title/Tag line/ Production
• Our production name: Resolution studios
• The title of our production is: “Girl with the blonde hair”
• Tag line: “your actions toward people may come back, and so might
they” The tag line basically foreshadows the events of the production
without giving too much away.

4. BRIEF SYNOPSIS
17 year old Lorna is a secluded introverted student who doesn’t have
many friends, but one things she does have is long beautiful golden
blonde hair- her and obsessive terminally ill mothers pride, her
everything. Lorna is her hair. One day when mean girls Luci, Jazzabelle
and Mary-louse who have victimised Lorna the duration of her time at
clementine-high school decide one day to cut her hair. Following this,
Lorna is so distraught that she takes her own life- Lorna’s physical self
may be gone however her spirit lives on, and it wants vengeance.

5. THEME
The theme of “girl with the long blond hair” Is a film about vengeance; it
is common in supernatural films for the supernatural being to cause
trouble because of some sort of vengeance or to punish people.
alternatively they could be summoned.

6. SUBGENRE
The sub genre is J-horror/Supernatural
The film is based around a Japanese ghost called the ‘yorel’- a
supernatural ghost who traditionally wears very long hair.
Its supernatural as is contains a supernatural being who comes back to
haunt individuals for vengeance, we’ve challenged elements of the
genre and used them as a unique selling point

7. TARGET AUDIENCE
• Teenagers aged 16+
• People in education
• Male and females (predominantly females)
• Horror movie lovers
• Supernatural film lovers

8. Unique selling point
Japanese yorel’s traditionally have long black hair, however our
production challenges this as our yorel has long blonde hair.
Our production is female empowering, containing elements of a final
girl in one of the mean girls
Both the antagonist and protagonist of our film are female which is
rarely seen in horror films.
