2. In our film opening, there will be around six
characters: five victims and a killer. It is
important in our film that the characters dress
appropriately to make the film have the
greatest effect on the audience and give the
film an authentic feel.
3. All the victims in our film opening will be
wearing their everyday clothes: hoodies,
jumpers, jeans, etc. The effect this has is that
having them in clothes they normally wear
indicates that they are regular people. This
makes them relatable to the audience and they
think the killer could kill anyone.
4. The killer in our film opening is portrayed as an
obsessive, partially insane character. We have
decided to have his costume as a shirt, tie and
smart trousers. The effect this gives is that the
killers clothes being smart outline his obsessive
personality as he cares about his appearance. It also
says to the audience that even smart looking
people or people you least expect are capable of
being a serial killer, sort of like American Psycho.
