2. Branding
Due to the companies change of location in December 2012, I was asked to re-design the business cards.
The Delta Home Entertainment cards required full contact information and titles, the DMM cards were kept as generic
with space for a name and address label.
Because the cards were to be double sided I decided that both sides of blue would be too busy and the info side should
keep a simple white background, providing a contrast between the two.
3. Point Of Sale
I was given the task of designing point of sale on DVD towers.
I was provided with blank images of the DVD towers, so as well as
designing the header cards and side panels, I had to place images of
the DVDs to give a real feel for how the towers will look.
I kept the family and Children’s sections image free, but used playful
colours for the children’s text. Because the Great Nights in section
involves blockbusters, I used the 5 main film company logos on a film
strip to give the section a cinematic feel.
4. Point Of Sale
I was given the task of creating a CD counter display unit for a Halloween Children’s
compilation album. I made the backing of the header card look like the CD but the
logo would be completely visible above the CDs on the display. For the rest of the
display I used the pumpkins and tombstones (including the track listings) on a small
portion of the background as there was not as much space and I didn’t want it to look
too busy.
Because the display was such a huge success, I created two Christmas display mock
ups during my spare time, which make use of a selection of concept albums and a
novelty Christmas album.
5. Sales Brochures
This is an example of a more creative layout from the monthly release brochures. I used pieces of the artwork from
this particular DVD as the background and used the images that would be with the synopsis on the back cover.
6. Sales Brochures

7. Sales Brochures
For the first audio release brochure of 2013, I was asked to put together a double page spread to show the best of 2012.
I created the background using a mixture of stock images to show the highlights from the year in the media - primarily the
Olympics and the Queens jubilee. Which is why I used the British Flag, Buckingham palace, the Olympic logo, a medal and
Olympic activities.
8. Sales Sheets
There are often prodcuts released outside of the monthly release schedule and these are examples. The Queen and Country DVD required use of the
product, the synopsis, the background used inside the DVD and 3 of the images used on the DVD case.
The Halloween background was made from the CD artwork but only using the sky, land and tombstone. The sales information was placed on the
tombstone and I also placed the counter display unit.
9. Sales Sheets
Because the Les Miserables CD did not have a lot of artwork to use on the sheet other than the cover, I enlarged the main section of the cover art and
watermarked it to make the background more colourful, without taking any emphasis away from the text.
The Oz sheet is to remind customers of our previous Wizard Of Oz Soundtrack release to tie in with the new Oz film. Unfortunately due to worries with
legal issues I removed the Oz image and replaced it with a black box with the film name typed out in gold.
10. Sales Presenters
I had to create a sales presenter for the DVD release of the Australian crime drama - Underbelly. The presenter gives an overview of the series, the
marketing activity, Key selling points and other vital sales information. I used one of the images from the DVD artwork as the background, but because
it left two large gaps either side of it, I used Photoshop to copy the pattern across. I also used parts of the background for the front and back cover.
I then used images of the future Underbelly releases on the background along with the release dates and pricing information and re used the image of
the man with the cash to make use of the blank space below it.
