• Video will be set in the 70’s Manchester (Poverty/working class)
• Main character: Young male caring for single mum and younger
brother
• Older boy working in mines, comes home looking dirty and beat
down.
• Other settings: Cut aways throughout the video to band in studio with
old footage of riots projected onto them.

5. Album Cover Proposal
When designing our album cover we looked at the Buzzcocks
pervious album covers and took certain aspects from them. For
example we used bright colours in the background and included
the bands logo. By using bright colours, it would become eye
catching to the audience and draw them in to have a closer look.
We also decided to use the bands logo because it would represent
the band and may be familiar to the target audience. As well as this
we used a visual of the band as this would add interest to the
cover.
6. Digipak Proposal
Extras Disc Contents
CD DVD
When deciding what to include on the
digipak, our original idea was to
incorporate photographs of controversial
topics such as riots. However we felt the
nature of the design was very comical and
would seem inappropriate. Therefore we
came to a conclusion to use an image of
the band instead.
We chose to have a consistent
theme of yellow throughout the
digipak because it is eye
catching, bright and connotes
ideas of happiness and
humour. It also link nicely to
the front cover and contrasts
against the black and white.
We are not 100% happy with our
design and plan to change the layout to
make it more aesthetically appealing.
We would decrease the size of the
image to make it less intrusive and
make the track list the focus of
attention. We would also take away the
logo to prevent repetition and place the
focus on the track list.
7. Magazine Advert
Proposal
BAND LOGO
TITLE
RELEASE DATE
By using the yellow colour we
are staying consistent with the
theme of the digipak. We will
use an image of the band in the
centre of the advert to help the
audience identify them along
with the logo at the top of the
page. We will have the release
date under the image so that
people know when they can
access the album. The title of
the album will be at the bottom
so that the audience know what
they are looking for when they
go to buy the album. We will
use a bold font in the advert to
attract the attention of the
audience and make it clear and
understandable.
