ROLE: Manager Project Controls
Key Owner’s team role for development of mine, rail and port facilities in Guinea, West Africa to feed bauxite to an upgraded refinery in Dubai.

ROLE: Project Controls Manager
Responsible for cost control, planning & scheduling, estimating, document control and quantitative risk assessment on this $7B mega-project
(peak manpower of 17,000). Key Owner’s Team role with direct contractor management of $1.6B of scope. I was engaged for the final year of
the project following its acquisition by MMG, tasked to turn around a dysfunctional project controls function. In the absence of the Project Director
and his deputy I assumed primary authority at the site with delegated authority of the Project Director. I was responsible for managing close-out
of the project including leading the claims mitigation and assessment process against the EPCM and Owner’s direct works contractors.
QUEENSLAND ENERGY RESOURCES Jun 2014 – Jan 2015
ROLE: Project Services Manager
Prior to indefinite suspension of the project due to low oil price was engaged as the client Project Services Manager responsible for planning and
implementation of the FEED and EPC contract, estimate and schedule. Developed from first principles the Project Master Schedule and EPC
Project Schedule. Conducted estimate reviews and developed benchmarking report to verify the EPC estimate.

Lead consultant providing project delivery services in the delivery of process plants for concentrating and refining extracted oil, gas and mineral

ROLE: Project Services Manager, Kyzyl Gold Project Kazakhstan and Canada
 Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager and cross-functionally direct to the CFO, in charge of management and implementation of project
controls, planning, document control, human resources management, project systems, insurance and risk management.
 Management, coaching and motivation of 4 direct lead reports managing a team of 16.

ROLE: Project Delivery Consultant/ Project Controls Consultant: Pueblo Viejo Gold Project Dominican Republic and Canada
 Developed from first principles a Project Management System (business management process solution) comprising complete suite of project
management policies, procedures, templates, forms and other tools for management and reporting.
 Mentor and coordination of the owner’s project controls function and assist with EPCM contract administration including auditing of the
EPCM performance against the contract and company policies.

 Prior to the early cancellation of the project due to the Global Financial Crisis reported to the VP Finance and the Project Manager in charge
of management of project services function including procurement, logistics coordination, contracts, estimating, planning, scheduling, cost
control and office administration, and the preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly reports.
 Coordinating the development of a definitive estimate for bank finance application including contingency modelling in @RiskTM.

BATEMAN ENGINEERING (KDG JV) 2003 - 2005 Project Controls Engineer, Sepon Copper Project Lao People's Democratic Republic  Greenfield development of a 60,000tpa copper processing plant and supporting infrastructure.  KDG Joint Venture was awarded Australia’s top engineering excellence award, the R.W. Hawken Award with special commendation for the planning, control and implementation of the Sepon project ahead of 29 other major and innovative engineering projects.
