2. How did this task enable you to be creative? Building the narrative - Did you find this difficult? I was able to use YouTube as an inspiration and to find ideas so found it easy to find props for my animation. I knew that I was going to use the wooden doll and it was easy to set everything up and position the doll and camera. However, it was hard to think of enough movements for the doll to do to make the animation last long. Also, I worked with a partner which I found easier than working on my own as we were able to share ideas.
3. How did this task enable you to be creative? Building the narrative - How did you decide what to use? I decided to use the wooden doll because I thought it would be easy to move and be able to do a wide range of things and therefore I might be able to make the animation last a while. However, once I started I realised it was quite hard to move parts into desired positions and so the animation became quite jerky.
4. How did this task enable you to be creative? Drafting - How many ideas did you have? I had two different ideas. One was to use the wooden doll, the other to use a puppet. In the end I thought there would be more things I could do with the doll and that it would be easier as I felt it would be quite hard to keep the puppet in certain positions. So I used the doll and let someone else use the puppet instead.
5. How did this task enable you to be creative? Drafting - Were there any limits in terms of resources, time, location? The only problem I had was that I didn’t have a tripod and so I had to put the camera on top of a pile of books. Other than that I was able to use my camera, I had a lamp to keep the lighting consistent and had enough space to use freely.
6. How did this task enable you to be creative? How did you use technologies to create your product? I took my pictures with a digital camera and then uploaded them onto my laptop. Although I didn’t have a tripod I put the camera on top of a stack of books so that it was at the desired height and I didn't have to constantly hold the camera in the same position. Once on the college computer I could upload the pictures to slideshare and then embed them in my blog.
