5. • Medial Pterygoid
• Superficial head from maxilla and Deep h
ead from letral pterygoid plate of sphenoi
d bone
• Ramus of mendible near to angle
• Elevate the mendible to close the mout

• Mendibular br of Trigeminal nerve
6. •Letral Pterygoid
• Superior head from greater wing of sphenoid
and inferior head from letral pterygoid plate
of sphenoid bone
• Both part converge into a tendon on neck of
mendible
• Bilateraly push the mendible forward to protr
act and uniletraly side to side movement.
• Mendibular br of Trigeminal nerve.
