3. Scrabble game
Scrabble is a word game in which two or
four players score points by placing tiles,
each bearing a single letter, into a game
board divided into a grid of squares.
The tiles must form words that,
in crossword fashion, read left to right in
rows or downward in columns, and be
included in a standard dictionary.
4. History of the game
In 1938, an American architect created
the game as a variation on an earlier
word game he invented, called Lexiko.
The new game, which he called Criss-
Crosswords, added the game board.
He manufactured a few sets himself but
was not successful in selling the game.

entirely new word.
What is not allowed in Scrabble?
There are some words that are not
allowed to be played and these include
suffixes, prefixes and abbreviations.
Any word that requires the use of a
hyphen or apostrophe cannot be
played in the game.
Any word that required the use of a
capital letter is not allowed.
10. Rules of the game
The first player must then be able to
compose a meaningful word using his
own letters and placing them on the
board.
The letters used allow you to calculate,
once the word is composed, the score
obtained.
At the end of the turn, the player
draws from the bag a number of
letters equal to those just used, so as
to always have 7.
The turn then passes to the next
player who in turn must compose a
word, but forced to intersect his own
with at least one of the letters already
present on the board, with the same
principle as the crossword.
11. What is a good score for
Scrabble?
A good score is 300, an extremely
good score is 500-700.
A rank beginner score is 150-200.
If you play someone higher ranked
than you, expect to score a lot less
than usual.
12. SCORE
For each word composed on the board, the
player calculates the sum of these scores.
On the chessboards there are also special
letters that allow you to double or triple the
score.
There is a bonus of 50 points, added to the
value already calculated, if you manage to
use all seven of your letters.
