3. • LAUNDERING – is the process of washing clothes with water.
1. SORTING – group clothes accordingly, separate the colored garments.
2. SOAKING – wet each piece of clothing separately to loosen the dirt.
3. SOAPING – soak the clothes in clean water with powdered soap or rub each
garment with a bar soap until soapsuds are formed.
4. RINSING – rinse clothes in clear water until clean.
5. DRYING – hang clothes using hangers or clips to secure them in the clothesline.

4. BLEACHING – the process of whitening or removing stains from clothes done by soaping
white clothes and spreading them under the sun.
STAIN – a mark made on a piece of clothing that is very hard or sometimes, impossible to
remove.
1. INK STAINS – Apply calamansi or lemon juice and salt on the stain. Leave it there for at
least 2 to 3 minutes. Wash the stained part afterward.
2. MUD STAINS – Allow the mud to dry then scrub or brush it off from the cloth.Wash just
like other soiled clothes afterward.
3. BLOOD STAINS – Soak the stained part in cold water for a few minutes. Rub detergent
soap briskly on the stain and wash the cloth.

soap.
5. PAINT STAINS – Rub the spot with grease or fat. Wash afterward in ordinary
washing.Then apply turpentine or paint thinner on the stained

and stored.To remove mildew, sprinkle the stain with
salt or lemon juice.Wash afterward.
