2. Question 1
This shows that everyone who did my
survey watches documentaries which
ensures that the results of this information
are reliable as it shows they have some
personal experience in watching
documentaries. This gives validity to my
results.
3. Question 2
I had a wide variety of ages of people
watching documentaries, which may have
made this survey more reliable given the
different types of people who have
answered my questions.
4. Question 3
Most people seem to either watch
documentaries on channel 4 and/or BBC 1.
This means that I add elements of both of
these styles of documentary to my film as
this is what interests people who watch
documnetraries.
5. Question 4
Most people seem to either watch
documentaries on channel 4 and/or BBC 1.
This means that I add elements of both of
these styles of documentary to my film.
6. Question 5
People seem to want both information
and entertainment although
entertainment does seem to be slightly
more important to people than
information.
7. Question 6
Interviews seem to be important to
most of the people who watch
documentaries, which means I will add
several of those into my documentary.
8. Question 7
Expert opinions also seem to be valued
more than any other opinion. However,
there also seems to be a small amount
of trust in teachers/academics and the
public, which I will include in my
documentrary.
9. Question 8
Most people who answered my
questionnaire do seem to be concerned
with food waste which means that the
majority of people who watch
documentaries would likely be
interested in a documentary about food
wastage.
10. Question 9
The elements of food waste that people
seem to be most interested in is how
much is lost by everyone (businesses
and households). This is important as
people are equally interested in how
much food waste is lost by everybody,
which means I will have to balance my
documentary to include both of these
things.
11. Question 10
One way that I could make my
documentary more interesting to my
target audience is by showing what
happens to the food waste for example
by filming where the food waste is
dumped. This could be interesting as it
could show whether or not food waste is
a big problem. Another idea that I could
add to my documentary is the increased
use of facts in order to make my
documentary more reliable. This is
because I would be able to show
evidence that the point my
documentary is making is correct.
Interviews with experts may also make
my documentary more reliable as
people would trust them more than
other people.
