2. WHAT IS A WAVE?
• A wave is a disturbance that transfers energy from one place to another.
MAIN TYPES OF WAVES:
• Longitudinal
• Transverse

3. LONGITUDINAL WAVES
• It vibrates the medium in the same direction in which the waves travel

4. TRANSVERSE WAVES
• A wave that vibrates the medium at right angles

5. PARTS OF A WAVE
• Crest
• Wavelength
• Through
• Amplitude

6. CREST
• Is the high point on a transverse wave

7. THROUGH
• Is lowest point on a transverse wave

8. WAVELENGTH
• Is the distance between two corresponding points

9. AMPLITUDE
• Is the maximum distance that the medium vibrates form the rest position.

10. FREQUENCY
• The number of waves that pass a given point in the certain amount of time.
