2. I started to work on the Animaker website.
I watched a few more samples just to see
how those had been edited. This is where I
found this ”Craig Pinkey” scene and
decided to use it for my documentary. I
still ended up changing a few objects
including the colour so it doesn’t seem like
I just copied and pasted someone’s idea.
I decided to create my own character.
One that would represent me directly
explaining the topic to make it a lot
more original and personal unlike
using the general characters they give
out to everyone
3. After knowing exactly what I will do and
getting my character ready I decided to first
record myself reading out my script before
getting started with the animation video.
This helped me get an idea of the length of
each scene.
Once I figured out the length and the speed
in which the objects and characters will be
moving I replaced my voice with the final
audio
4. On the website you also got access
to images and background music.
However you weren’t allowed to
use it for free so all of the images
including the background music
in my video are from the internet.
Throughout the video I went
for a bleu background on
white letters mainly using the
font “Righteous”. This is
because I figured that having a
darker background on white
letters would be easier to read
There’s one scene in the video that has a different
background than the rest. This is the part were I talk
about kid songs and baby Rhymes which is why I
decided to give this scene “kids vibes” by using
brighter colours as a background as well as putting a
doll at the corner of the screen
5. AudioTowards the end of my final project I started
focusing on my audio.
My friend did 2 attempts reading out
different parts of the script (From the
beginning until the middle and from the
middle until the end) then 2 other attempts
reading the whole script. This is really
useful because I edited out the parts that
don’t sound right or and replace them with
a better attempt video.
In some attempts
the audio sounds
louder than others
so I tried to edit
the sound lower
to make the final
project flow a lot
more
