documentaries. We are a small independent and free producer. We are in

wide and global interpretation.
Our two previous documentaries have been premiered in the San Sebastián
Film Festival. Both films “Nömadak Tx” and “Pura Vida/The Ridge” have been

to excel in edition and post production as a career. It it the first and unique
centre in the north os Spain that it is authorised as a Traininc Centre by the
most important two companies in the area: Adobe and Apple.
Nowadays we are giving the Master in Edition and Postproduction for the
4th time.
Besides, for the next course we have scheduled a new master in VFX and

legitimacy of other national and cultural identities.
The Bilbao International Unseen Film Festival “Film Sozialak”, organised by
the NGOD Kultura, Communication y Desarrollo (KCD) is primarily conceived
with the aim of creating an open space for those works made in digital or
film format that have repeatedly been made invisible, rejected or censured
in their own countries or even in the international framework, not only on
account of the issues they deal with, but also because they can’t keep up
with the current requirements of the film market.
The Festival transforms the screens into mirrors reflecting human stories of
countries all over the world. A wide variety of evidences gathered in works
of fiction, documentary and animation inviting to reflect on Human Rights,
Gender Equity, interculturality, sustainable development. The Festival has
achieved again gender parity in its participation.
Calls for competition open until may 1st 2015.

The San Sebastian International Film Festival was founded in 1953. In 1955
it was recognized by the FIAPF as a competitive festival and, since then,
Official prizes are awarded. The Board of Management consists of the City
Council, the Basque Government, the Regional Council of Guipuzcoa and
the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Since 2011 José
Luis Rebordinos is the Director of the Festival. The Festival consists of
the Official Section, New Directors, Horizontes Latinos, Zabaltegi, Perlas,
Zinemira, Savage Cinema and Culinary Cinema. There are also a classic, a
thematic or a contemporary retrospective; as well as an International Film
Students Meeting.
In its endeavour to become a reference platform for the Latin American and
European film worlds the Festivals Industry Department, The Industry Club,
carries out several activities such as the Europe-Latin America Co-production
Forum, created in 2012 with the goal to achieve closer ties with Latin
America; or Films in Progress, created in 2002 with the intention to back
Latin American film production with aid to the completion of films at the
post-production stage.
Several awards are given at the end of each edition: the Official Selection’s
Awards, the Kutxa – New Directors Award, the Horizontes Award, the
Audience Award, the Youth Award, the Irizar Basque Film Award, the TVE-
Another Look Award, the International Film Students Meeting Award the
Films in Progress Award and the FIPRESCI Award. Since 1986 the Donostia
Award honors the work and career of a film personality.

The Etxepare Basque Institute is a public institution whose main role is to
promote the dissemination of Basque culture around the world by fostering
the internationalisation of artistic events of excellence, support for the
movement of Basque artists and works overseas and the dissemination of
knowledge of Basque artistic heritage.
To achieve these objectives, the Basque Institute has two lines of action. On
the one hand, it handles proposals for grants for various artistic disciplines,
such as audiovisual, dance, theatre, music, literature and visual arts. The
purpose of this assistance is to facilitate the presence of Basque artists on
the world stage.
On the other hand, the Institute develops activities to open windows to
Basque culture in each discipline, organising and financing cultural events
of different kinds such as exhibitions, festivals, fairs, conferences and
shows. To this end, in the foreign dissemination of the Basque audiovisual
sector, the stand Basque Audiovisual organized in MIPTV and MIPCOM
markets constitutes one of its main actions.
The Etxepare Basque Institute also works to show audiovisual output
produced in the Basque Country overseas through consolidated programs
such as Kimuak (short films) in collaboration with the Basque Film Library.
