From Flat to Interactive in No Time - Create Online Educational Content Using Raptivity

Editor's Notes

  • #32 Talk about the diversity of usage of IMs and how they can apply to all ranges in the education sector.
  • #35  Use Raptivity Linker to: Create Mini eLearning Modules Build Interactive Experiences Build Learning Arcs
  • #36 Niteen
  • #37 Flipped Classrooms - The flipped classroom thrives on the concepts of active learning and high engagement. The real value of flipped classroom model comes from the fact that students can utilize the in-class time for participating in stimulating discussions and exercises, thus making it practically beneficial and more engaging. But this can only happen if students get their basic concepts in-place through the lecture(s)/learning content that they have taken at home. So the key ingredient in making a flipped classroom work is to make the lectures/learning content more engaging and appealing and the in-class sessions more interactive and interesting. Thus, for the flipped model to work, adding an element of interactivity to both sides of this approach will definitely be a value-add. MOOCs- Playing only videos as part of a MOOC might not be sufficient. Interactive videos and assignments and to test the students from time to time will be the keys to getting learners gain some value out of them.
