• The Petronas twin tower were
designed by American architect
Cesar Peli
• Petronas twin tower are twin sky
scraper in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
• They are the tallest twin building
in the world

• Typical floor to floor height : 13

4. CONCET
• The tower describes ancients
motifs of Muslim art, conformity
to the Malaysia Muslim heritage
combined with innovative
technology.
• Therefore the looks were
impressing by characteristics of
Muslim design like respective
geometries

5. SOIL AND
FOUNDATION
• Irregular bedrock at a lower
place. Perimeter diaphragm walls
2’6” thick
• 2 raft foundation. 15’ thick
containing 13000 humor of
concrete.
• 300,000 metric load of each
tower cover concrete slab or mat
anchored to soil , not bed rock
• The tower rest on RCC
foundation mat poured over
piles.

6. INTERIOR
• Designs and patterns of the
doorway halls vestibules
replicate traditional handicrafts
and weaving.
• Wall panels and screens
impressing by hardwood carving
from the east coast of terra firma
Malaya.
• Also the floor designs square
measures supported byzantine
patterns of pandan weaving and
palm wall matting.

7. EXTERIOR
• Each tower is about back 5 times
in its ascent to keep up the
vertical axis and tapering of the
look.
• The walls of the top floors are
slanting inward to taper and
meet the pinnacle.

8. THE CENTRE
CORE
• Its central core in every tower
accommodates – lifts, exit, stairs,
mechanical services.
• Extremely bolstered thick corner
walls resist wind.
• The outer walls thickness 750 to
350 millimeter.
• Also inner walls constant 350
mm.

9. PINNACLE OF THE
TOWERS
• Every tower topped by 73m
tapering top.
• Accommodates building
maintenance machine, aviation
lighting and lightning protection.
• Concrete construction
impractical.
• Steel used through out.

10. SKYBRIDGE AT
PETRONAS
TOWER
• The bridge is 170m higher than
the bottom and 58.4m long
deliberation 750 tons.
• Two hinge arch springing from
supports a try of parallel two
span continuous bridge grinders
at level 41.
• The two hinge arch supporting
the bridge has motion pins at the
top of every leg or spring
purpose and at the highest of the
arch supporting the bridge.
