- Making daily, weekly and monthly progress report.
- Attend pre-inspection meeting before starting the project
- Review project quality manual, specification & Inspection and Test Planes (ITPs)
- Following up Material Receiving (Review Material Certificates and traceability
according to specification &codes) and make the necessary Non Conforming Report
(NCR) when required
- Make or review the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure
Qualifications Record (PQR) and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
- Filling QC stamp for all drawings by the WPSs and NDE required regarding to the
project specification, ITP and applicable codes.
- Prepare and maintain QC reports.
- Follow up the required RT percentages for different line classes and welders.
- Follow up the RT repairs and the penalty on line class and welders.
- Review all calibration certificates for QC and fabrication tools
- Attend the daily & weekly meeting with owner, contractor and subcontractor head
sections.
- Check the electrode handling & storage
- Verify that Pre- and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) has been done satisfactory.
- Visual Check of Welds.
- Witness Potential Material Identification (PMI) tests for material types and
deposited weld metal for different production joints.
- Check Dimensional accuracy of completed Weldment.
- Following up the required % of hardness test.
- Make coordination with welding inspectors and QC assistance in both workshop
and site activates.
- Prepare all documentation and control punch list and surveillance and non
conformance report (NCR) to sign turn over acceptance certificate (TOAC)
- Review and check test package or Manufacture Record Bock (MRB) Establishing
that contains ( Quality plan , inspection check list, qualifications of welders and
inspectors, As built , drawing, punch list, NDE reports, equipment calibration used
NDE and hydro test and chick records of PWHT, hydro test and coating etc. )
- Line punching of test packages according to the limits of P&ID, prepare and review
the document then submit it to the main contractor
