Storyboards and webpage
1. Storyboards and webpage
There will only be one task here. Ever since this exam started, the task has either been
storyboards or a web page. Storyboards could be a pre-title opening sequence
(included here), a trailer or possibly the actual title sequence. You are only supposed
to use ten images and they must be annotated to get you a decent mark. Remember
to include edits, shot distances and angles (have at least one high angle to make
someone look vulnerable and explain it for the benefit of the examiner)and timings –
you have done this sort of thing before for two of your assignments. The website must
be annotated too. If you don’t have time to use colour – annotate it. Don’t spend ages
producing good drawings – it’s a 20 minute task and you’ve seen high-scoring
exemplar material where the drawings were pretty basic BUT make sure you don’t
overuse long shots and that your medium and close shots look like medium and close
shots. Another possibility, I suppose, is some kind of social network page to promote
your series.

5. The links across the top all
represent synergy because
they help promote the
company’s other products.
Remember to include a link to
the company’s home page –
here, The Serial Box
It would be better if you
explained a bit more about
what could be found at the
links down the side of the page
– the examiner will expect to
see effective annotation. Look
at the exemplar material you
took home.
Does occur to me that I didn’t
put the title on the original
sketch…
Duh!
