clause
A subordinate clause is a clause that cannot stand alone as a
complete sentence because it does not express a complete
thought.

few brands’.
• ‘We were really passionate about it. Since everyone in the company was
really
young, we weren’t thinking about it from a business perspective’.
• ‘Even though the store was small, because of the way we worked, we were
very
successful from the beginning’.
