2. Purpose of Storage Location Control
• Storage location control can be used when the stocks of
interim storage types are maintained in storage locations ,
than the storage locations where the main stocks are
maintained.
• When the ownership of stocks have to be separated.

Scenario 1 : Different storage locations for stocks and stocks in interim storage area
Scenario 2: Different storage locations for stocks and stocks in production

5. Process Flow
• In IM, the material is stored in Storage location 0090 ,when in
interim storage area
• As soon as material is physically available in warehouse , the stocks
are posted to 0091.
• At the same time a posting change is created to from 0090 to
0091.A posting change notice is not created as per process.
• This is useful , when one needs to ensure that material is available
for deliveries ,when the complete goods receipts & put away is
complete. This is useful if the picking location is 0091 for deliveries.
• Incase of scenario 2 , it is assumed that WM-PP interface is active

• Enter the warehouse number, storage type
,plant & storage location for which the control is
required. For e.g. 0090
• Enter the movement where the control needs to
be triggered .For eg.101
• Combine Post Changes- If this is activated ,the a
background job needs to be scheduled for the
program -RLLQ0100.If this indicator is not set,
then the posting change is created immediately
after the transfer order is confirmed.
• Mail – Here need to update the indicator “DT” ,
incase a message needs to be triggered incase
of an error
• Receiver - Enter the Id to whom the mail has
to be received incase of error.

• Update the indicator “Do not copy storage
location” for storage location for e.g.0090
