Realization Of Adaptive Filters Using Compressed 2’s Complement Data
Formats:
Advisor: Dr. Shaik Rafi Ahamed, IIT Guwahati
In this project, to improve dynamic range and noise performance of Input signal of
adaptive filters we propose compressed 2’s compliment data formats along with LMS
algorithm for weight updating. By using this method error is decreased and can provide
more bits of precision for each input sample, with this the error between overall output
and desired output is decreased and it will take less number of steps to converge to the
desired signal.

Projects
Joint Access With Tracing By Using MIX-SPLIT’s Characteristics:

Bachelor’s
Thesis
Invisible Writer:
Advisor: Radhanand, GRRIET
The project is to develop a small writing robot that seems to write by itself, as if con-
trolled by an invisible writer. It is controlled by a wireless transmitting unit, which is
microcontroller based and interfaced to a PS2 mouse. As a user moves the mouse, the
PS2 commands are taken by the micro controlled, framed into messages and transmit-
ted over an RF link that works on 433 MHz. The writing robot has a microcontroller
3. based board which is interfaced to an RF receiver, which receive the PS2 coded wire-
less messages, translate them into motor control commands and activates motors of
the writing robot accordingly effectively transferring the motion of the user at the
transmitting end to the pen held by the writing robot.
